Has anyone Heard of Ollie's???
We just had an Ollie's open up this morning, just down the road from my office. Naturally, I had to do a walk through. I didn't see a lot of diecast other than Hotwheels for $.79, though I'm told their inventory changes constantly. However, I hit the motherload for model kits. They had all sorts of different kits, but I stuck with the Testor's pre-painted metal body kits. 1971 Mach 1 for $6.99; Mustang Concept for $4.99; 1968 Chevelle SS for $3.99; Buick GS for $9.99 (expensive one!), and some assorted smaller kits including a 1/32 Shelby Series 1 for $2.99. They also had plastic kits of cars, planes, military and even those giant hot rod kits. I'm not a big model guy - can't paint worth a poo, but I have done a couple of the Testor's kits and with a little detailing they turn out really nice. Oh yeah, I grabbed a bunch of those Weird-Ohs figures by Hawk, just for the fun of it. This load should keep my boys and I busy for a little while.
