What is your favorite Brand of Diecast: Johnny Lightning
Favorite car in your collection: The two diecast "your car is the star" versions of my VW Beetle's that Johnny Lightning reproduced into diecast.
Favorite car to collect: Volkswagens
Why do you collect: Part of enjoying a marquee is finding things that match that. The diecast version of vehicles you either own or you have dreamed to own become an attachment point to that marquee relationship. Apart from a philisophical answer to this question I have formed relationships with some outstanding people that motivates me to collect and expand my knowledge of things other than my specific interest.
Do you display your cars in package or loose: I prefer loose. It's fun just to roll a car around the counter and imagine...
Your philosophy on collecting: The best answer is "what you like", but don't be afraid to expand into something new.

I love VWs, but that Speed Racer collection is just cool.
Question: In the pic just below the two Johnny Lightning Beetles, all the way to the right there is a yellow convertible with a red interior, doors off and windshield down. What is it, and who made it?
Nice collection and layout Ron! Great cases of Herbies and Speed Racers you got there too.
Your cars JL did, are favorites of mine too. (I wish they would do that program again).
Location: Last time I looked I was right here, yep I'm still here

Having see this collection in person let me say you just have to stand in front of all of this diecast to truly appreciate the collection. there are things you can stare at for a long time. you also just get a corner of the Notre Dame collection that is real cool too!

My guess for today is the VW Thing Type 181, by Siku.
