1993 Jaguar XJ220S TWR by Spark

Spiced-up version of Jaguar XJ220, made by Tom Walkinshaw Racing in 1993.
680 HP, 0-60 mph in 3,3 seconds, top speed: 228 mph. Sweet car!

You can find some magazine scans and lots of pictures about this particular chassis (only 6 road-going were made) here:
http://www.supercars.net/gallery/129612/1552/10.html

I've always loved the look of XJ220, and this one is no exception. Spark did a great job, that yellow is really wild, it could be the flashiest model in my collection. Overall appearance of the model is great, but headlights look a bit small and black paint for vents is imprecisely applied on some spots.

Hope you enjoy the pics:

good lookin' car! I like the yellow too!

I saw one of these at Barrett-Jackson in '94, man when they fired that puppy up, Bam! I never heard a six like that in my life......horripilation, piloerection, and the pilomotor reflex even on my scalp , my goodness what a sound and coming from such a sexy looking car!

Very fine design ! The closest I saw was a Maisto 1/52 at TRU but the wheel scaling was wrong.

Here it is compared to an "ordinary" XJ220. XJ220's bodies were made from lightweight aluminium, but at TWR they replaced body parts (except doors) with carbon fibre panels.

Notice, how one of the models is left- and the other is right-hand drive. The rear-view mirrors are asymmetrically positioned on each of them.
