Back and Better than Ever,
it's time for Michiana RC's 2009/2010 Oval Season!
Here's the start of the new thread for Michiana RC's 2009-2010 Oval Season. We have many new exciting things planned for the '09/'10 Winter Carpet Oval Season- stay tuned to the website and this thread for more information!
For this winter season, we will stick with selected Sundays, which will be announced soon. Also, our two trophy races will return this winter. Lastly, look for more action with the Northern Indiana Points Series, as well as continued group efforts between Michiana RC & Pete Russell's RC Speedway!
If you've never been to Michiana RC before- Here's a few reasons you'll wanna check us out!
* 36' x 60' track surface, with an approximate 120' runline.
* Fresh CRC "Fasttrack" Ozite racing surface.
* 12' wide infield, with "ice" corners- no hard corners!
* AMB Scoring which accepts Personal Transponders.
* RC Scoring Pro, the best software on the market.
* Good upstairs and downstairs pitting.
* Hobby shop on-site, carrying the essential items.
* A clean, fun environment!
For classes, we will run this season like last, where the core classes will remain intact. Here's a brief description...

2 Cell LiPo: 38oz.
4 Cell NiMh: 41oz.
Outlaw Sprint Cars: No changes to this class, either. Rules will be "Pete's Rules", just like previous years. Novak 10.5 Motors, Six-cell, 4600mAh max NiMh battery, or 3800 Orion LiPo's. Also, I know there are some 13.5-powered sprint cars out there. You're welcome to run, but keep in mind, it's a 10.5 class- good luck.
Losi Mini Sliders: Rules will probably follow last years essentially "box-stock" rule. However, this will be reviewed. Ultimately, I would like to see a Youth Slider Class. We have a handful of kids that I feel would benefit from running together.
Other classes... We will generally recommend racers stay on the same style of rules as above, and ultimately adopting the "TOUR" style of rules. The last thing anyone needs is 40 classes with two racers in each one. We do have a "if there's three or more, we'll run it" rule. But, we recommend that racers stick to something "common"- bigger field = more competition and fun.
