Ships Of The Line News...

Hey all, SEE POST 5

I was fortunate enough to take part in a collaborative effort to complete a month for the new calendar. I built two models for the picture.

Can't say what it is but I like it how it turned out...not sure how the modeling community will take it. It is canon though.

I just think it's cool models made it into the fold with all the CG work.

Star Trek Federation ships of the line. SOTL This is a very cool calendar featuring ships from the Star Trek universe. Don't fret too much. It took me a minute or two to figure out what they were posting about myself.

Also, there's a new preview of the Ships of the Line 2009 calendar up at TrekMovie.com:

Am I wrong for wanting a 1/1000 USS Aventine?

Never wrong for wanting a model of a cool ship.

Wow. That Galileo Shuttlecraft on the cover is suitable for framing.

Just by luck I was contacted by John Han and he asked me if I wanted to build the models. He was browsing model pics via google. I Jumped at the chance.

Hopefully more modelers can submit their work next year and get more Trek models in the calendar.

And, since I forgot to mention it in my earlier post, I'm really looking forward to seeing the models in the calendar! The sneak preview looks amazing... maybe a recreation of the destruction scene from "Cause and Effect"? Am I close?

No, you're not wrong to want one. I saw the pics of the Aventine for the new SOTL calendar on a Trek site this morning and I was very impressed by what I saw. I did a quick search on the net to try and find more pics, but none were of the quality of the SOTL pic. I really wanted to see more views of it.
