O/T - In the Shop; '59 Mercedes
Not many HT Benz fans here, but I lov'em.
Even beat to hell, they are impressive to drive.
Doing some rust repair on the frame of this fairly rare 219 6cyl model.

A 58' model 219 was almost my first car. Summer of 76, just before heading off to college. I had $600 and the guy wanted $600. But, car needed battery and head gasket. When I went to the dealer and found out the cost of the head gasket (and other Mercedes parts), I went out and bought a $600 stereo.
That turned out to be a very wise move.

Are you sure that these aren't the people who brought it in .....
That car looks like something that Boris, Natasha, and Fearless
Leader should be driving

I spotted Natasha getting out of her weekend car apparently on her way to the Hamptons.

Nice pic G-man.
A high-dollar 2-dr.
Svelte, but a bit odd looking from that angle, huh?

The roof makes it look out of shape but then MB does things like that. Remember the pagoda roof of the 60s

On the '60s SLs, yeah, I don't mind those roofs to bad, but the car looks better with the soft top on it instead.
