Seems sometimes we forget this, and we'll really jump on someone about things that don't really matter in the long run. What if it was YOU getting jumped on? Put yourself in the other persons place before you type.

I got into some pretty good "discussions' with Peter both on and off the board. I don't mind being jumped on and defending my remarks. In the end I think it leads to far more interesting reading. Granted some people and some websites try to refrain from this type of exchange from taking place while others practically encourage it. I try to stay within the preception I have of the person as well as the website I am on but sometimes I do slip.
Other times people just take disagreement as a personal attack.

IDK what brought this on,and glad I don't but I tell my kids this all the time as well.
