O/T One you don't see often..
Here you go a 63 Dodge 880..It was signed by cast members from American Graffiti. It has the big block 361. 47,000 miles on the odometer It's for sale $4,500. It's sitting on the lot Route 51 at the 88 junction.
That's a classy, and seldom seen, Mopar. Looks to be in fine shape body and interior-wise. Probably pretty good mechanically. How dependable were those pushbutton transmissions?
I 've never had one single problem ~ ever! I have 2 cars now with it and have owned
2-3 others. The basic trans is the tried & true bullet proof Torq-Flite used for decades.
The only difference is the means by which it is shifted.
The 727s they put in most V8s were especialy rugged, but I've heard 904s have weak revearse sprags.
I really wonder what the story is with this 880. I wonder if it was actually in
any of the traffic scenes in the movie. Mabey not ~ because the car is a '63
and the movie is supposed to be in 1962 ~ Close enough probly though!
