What a great scene this auction was! I think it was well worth the money.

Who is Ron Pratt that keeps buying these high end cars? That was an awesome car.

I'd rather buy a continuation Cobra with a fiberglass body, they run about $120,000. A buddy of mine has one and it is nothing but awesome.

Was this for the super snake? If so it went for over double what I thought it would. If I had the bucks to spend I would have bought it. A continuation Cobra is nice but........
yeah like I'll ever be able to get one of those either.

For the one of formerly 2 originals where the second one was wrecked. Yeah I said "maybe even $2.5M". I had it right for half of the car.

Sure $120K is a much better value, but owning the original Cobra is worth the $5M if you have it, and not many do that's for sure.

From what I heard on the show, he's a serious collector and apparently somewhat of a charitable giver as well. Quote taken off of a Hemmings BB from last year's Futureliner $4.0 million bus: "The buyer was noted collector Ron Pratt, who also paid the $3,024,000 for the Pontiac Bonneville. Already a part of his collection in Chandler, Arizona, the Futureliner was driven to its new home from the grounds of Barrett-Jackson with full police escort."

I am glad that I saw it sell.
Definitely a part of Cobra history.

Travis, if you had that $5 Million dollar baby, I don't think you would be keeping it in a garage.
You would more likely use a temperature and humidity controlled vault.
Now, that is an interesting thought.
It would be nice to drive it up and down the street atleast once.

Cheers. Cobra

I would like to know if it started its life looking as glittzy as it did on stage(chrome cooling fans and such)or did it progress its way up to this look. By the way Shelby talked he drove it hard once or twice.HEH HEH!

Yeah I had to laugh at that, pulled over doing 190mph, what could possibly have pulled him over doing that? A blackhawk helicopter?
