Why they liquidate premium cases is beyond me. First it was the HOW now these. It blows me away how inept they are at managing their distribution. I saw one case at retail and I bought one of every car and both Cobras. That was the only case that got delivered to the local TRU. If the company wants to make a profit get these highly desirable cars out to the public. If a year from now they still have some (which I doubt they would) then they can slash prices.
I still have yet to see a single Auction Insanity in a chain store.
thats ok... i FINALLY found, not 1, but 2 PIP 84 Oldsmobiles... been hunting for that car for a long time, and they go for a high price on epay usually... and i got them for 2/$5.00 (and yes, i bought 2 )
They also got the Monster whatever release (the new one with the green shelby cobra)
Well now that the cat is out of the bag, I saw one too. The really bizarre thing is that they were marked 2/$5.
That's almost unbelieveable! Makes me sick when I paid $4.99 each! I hope my KB gets them in. I haven't seen any American Beautys on the pegs lately, so that tells me that they are not peg warmers.
I hit a KB yesterday on a lark... and came out with the PIP Cutlass I've been waiting forever for, as well as two BWF GTO's and the 1972 Hurst Olds Zinger! (All at $2.50 each)
I did not see any of the American Beauties at KB, however. These have a premium price on them (for JL's) at the TRU in Times Square, so I am surprised they would show up so soon at 2 for $5 there. Could it have been a mistake? Perhaps they were sent to KB in error?
American Beauties was not an exclusive set to any of the retailers. TRU jumped the gun and released them early. You should start seeing them at KB (sounds like you are already!), Target, Walmart, etc.... wherever you normally see JL's...
