Purple Super Bee

Don't know about the rest of you - took me forever to find this car. Went into an Xpect Discounts store on Tuesday, 7 hanging on the peg. What's up with that????

I've never seen one on the peg. Actually only 1/2 of that series showed up in my area (CARS assortment at Target).

Our local store got in 2 cases so they had 4 of each car. I think one was still there at last check. Were there any other cars from that release? I have been noticing in my area an increase in returns in quantity of the same car. 10 blue Ford GTs at one store, 13 green '57 Nomads at another. Just stinks.

Never mind the returns, the question is: Why is someone buying so many of one car in the first place????

Well my theory is that they are buying lots of cases and returning the ones that they can't make a profit on, if you get my drift.

That wouldn't surprise me - the purple Superbee was in big demand for a while, they probably bought a ton, sold what they could on epay and returned the rest.

There is NO WAY I'd see that car show up on any peg around here unless I went down the the local scaper's store at Trader's World.. Seems like all the quality merchandise ends up there marked up 2 to 3 times it's normal value.

So is that what Trader Bakers is, a scalper's store? Wow had no idea.

I only ever found one purple Super Bee myself, at a Target. This was after a generous HTer traded me one. Those 10 blue Ford GTs you are finding are probably from the Muscle Cars assortment that also included the black Buick GN. Been seeing lots of blue Ford GTs and yellow 05 Mustang GTs from that set and not a single GN

Trader's World is a flea market.. The scalper just happens to have a booth there.

Picked it up off ebay as I had to have it. Maybe I'll see it in stores in a few months. Who knows. I want the new Zinger bee also!

You need a GN? I can most likely get you one.

As for the purple bee, I've seen 3, bought one for SiNutt, I believe. Next time I see one, I'll pick it up for trades here.

Too funny... I was there last Sunday Dennis!

I have a spare of the MC USA GN too (found 4 hanging together at Target a couple weeks ago...)
