1st Sonic in PA just down the street!!!

I believe the grand opening is actually tomorrow but I saw they were opened yesterday and today.

The first SONIC Drive Up in Pennsylvania is only a few minutes from home!!!!

It is in Brownstown PA. It hasn't even made it to the corporate map yet.
http://www.sonicdrivein.com/business.../marketMap.jsp

For those that need to know where it is located, it is at the intersection of route 272 and 772 (on 272) on the side of the Schaum's Corner strip mall.

I can't wait to go!! I will be taking the family there Saturday evening. And even cooler, the temp is supposed to climb to mid 60's for the weekend!!!

We have one few miles south of here in Middletown, I've been meaning to go to it in my hot rod.

I had lunch there a couple weeks ago. The lemonade stinks... I sent it back and got a diet coke...

But all else was ok...

Hate to say it, but don't get to excited!

Personally i'll take McD's over Sonics ANYDAY. Their burgers are small, price is high, and aren't all that great tasting... (we have like 10 here, almost as common as McD's)

Only thing i go there for on occasions is the "sonic blasts" ... basicly almost like a DQ Blizzard or McFlurry...

I go there sometimes to get a shake because they`re pretty good.
I very seldom eat there anymore since jack in the box came and hardees has such good burgers now.Just wondering if you have hardees or jack in the box locally?

Most of the Hardees' in this area (both Lebanon locations, Hershey, and Elizabethtown) are gone. They didn't want to upgrade to the flame broiler for the first three, and the E-town location went under to poor sales a few years prior to that. The Hershey and Lebanon locations were supposedly sold to McDonald's, closed, and then McDonald's backed out after they were closed. I doubt that story considering McDonald's has one location directly across the street from one of the three they were supposedly buying.

Fortunately, there are a few that I know about- Myerstown, ten minutes from work, but 25 minutes from home, Middletown (never eaten there, it's almost an hour away), and York (I've eaten there once- York's over an hour from home, too).

And Hardees does have the best burgers. I try to get there at least once a week.

MMMMMMMM....Sliders! Belly Bombs! Gut Busters, OK I'll stop there befre it gets bad. We got 2 with in 1/2 hour! Valparaiso and Michigan City IN. If your comming in to Fest on 30 Across Northern Indiana you pass the one in Valpo. If your comming in 94 across Southern Michigan/Northern Indiana the Michigan City one isn't that hard to reach.

Neither of them are around me. There used to be a Hardees close by but it is now a diner. I used to love getting what I think was a quarter pounder with nothing on it. Just burger and bread. It was great. I think it had something to do with the roll they used.

Had a Sonic nearby when I lived in Louisiana in the late '70s...... very good, then.

Around here, no Sonics, no Hardee's, no White Castle....... probably the best hamburgers I used to get were at the snack bar at the Fort Polk Bowling Alley, back in the '70s, though. Awesome!

Most expensive burger I ever had was close to fifteen bucks at a little outdoor place on the water here in Newport. If any burger was worth that much, this one was. It was so good, I went up to speak to the Chef personally, something I have never ever done in my life (at fifteen bucks a pop, you don't call him a "cook"!).
