I have been a guest here on occasion, when checking up on things from someone else's computer. Don't have anything to say, just seeing what the buzz is about that day.
I was never much of a joiner, and I can see the lurkers' point. Why join if you can monitor conversations for your own end? It's just that much less info about you in cyberspace, and I can appreciate that.
I've joined a couple of forums (not hobby-related)and discovered that conversations there aren't things I've ever wanted to get into, and wish I hadn't joined. I like to keep up but discover I have nothing to add. Perhaps this is the case here?
Technically, we are all guests. After all it is Hank's house.
So some of us are "member guests" and others are "lurker guests".
But it is indeed more fun being a "member guest".
It will be interesting to see what Carnut has to say on this subject.
And the there are comments from Dipstick, Swifty, etc.

Cheers. Cobra
I agree whole heartedly with you, Gerry. This is the house that Hank built, and he lets us all use his playroom (though it isn't nice to peek in the windows)! Thanks, Hank.
I occasionally check in on a different computer and don't bother signing in.I also sometimes forget to close a window and it shows I am on when I am nowhere near a computer.
I also have the ability to go invisible and dabbled with that for a day or 2.
Anyways, here is an avitar I created for the lurkers....
