Wrong Store Wrong Time...

Well this morning, after 4 hours of sleep, i woke and drove 60 miles to show up at a store here called Farm/Fleet, "ToyLand Opens October 15 7:00am" They had some Yat Ming advertised and a bunch of Ertl and RC2 products, so I figured JL's would be there also. So I show up and store is darker than a Morgue in a Black Hole! Sign says open @ 8:30....Go back to the car, look at the flyer, doh! The flyer is for a Fleet/Farm!

You see there were 2 brothers who started the store and had differences in which way the store should go, so they split, one took the west side of the state and the other the east...

Luckily there was a FLEET FARM about 20 minutes away in MN, so went there! "Holy- Day After Thanksgiving Batman" The aisles were packed and people had carts of toys... I found the JL's and as I was looking thru...people were bumping into my "TRUNK" (I know it ain't that big, just crazy shoppers!) found a couple nice cars, a lady interupts me to ask me how these Bdaman batlle bot shooter type toy things work, I tried to figure it out, at the same time thinking I gotta get back to the pegs...Finally figured it out for her then back to the pegs and.....Bam .... Score got a WL MONC Challenger , also picked up a 2005 Mustang lime green, passed on the yellow GT as my Dinner Surprise Car deserves to stand alone for quite awhile!

So all in all it turned out!

Score! I stared at that place trying to figure out what it was. I thought they might be a general merchandise store, but wasn't sure.

I went to the one in Winona, I was in La Crosse WI--Wrong Store so I jumped the mighty Mississippi to Winona, thought about heading to Rochester after that, but whew too many miles for me! If I woulda done that I might as well have headed up your way, coulda stopped to see you Minnesotains EHH? Then head back down the "I". I'll have to do that sometime, maybe when gas gets back down to 2 bucks a gallon!

We have a Farm & Fleet here in Racine . Their Toyland opens next weekend . I never have seen JL's there before . Just Hot Wheels & Ertl . They only have toys for Christmas . Otherwise they're a general merchandise store , with farm related items too ... Fleet Farms are usually bigger & have more sporting goods & sometimes lumber dept's ...
