JL Plastic

Just doing my usual Ice Cream Truck search on Ebay and saw the George Barris Ice Cream truck by JL.

What is a JL Plastic...are the cars made out of plastic????

Looked at the JL site but didn't see anything about them.

Is this old news?

Thanks,
Donal

the series Classic Plastic is in honor of those great plastic model kits that the cars represent....the cars are the usual die-cast body & chassis and the blisterpack includes a replica of the actual model kit that the car is based upon....

Nine different castings in this release.
Did anyone notice the note and signature by Thomas E. Lowe on the back
of the blister card besides me?

Cheers. Cobra

Here is a picture of the Blue Max Mustang. These and the tins are by far my favorite packaging.

Thanks Puppycat. I like that. Something else to look for. I'm a big fan of the tins also.

I did. It was on the first release in 03 also. TL signed and approved the message but I wrote it.

i think the classic plastic series is awsome, those old model kit boxes are a great addition to any car collector's collection! open em up and display the car on top of the box!
