Great article, fills in a lot I did not know about the board. It really is too bad Tom sold the company, but that is the way of the world now. And this board is really a community, at least it feels like it to me, and I have been a member for only a few months. Whenever I log on to read stuff, I learn something and feel like I'm among friends.
But you see? Even with all that article, the diecast side was spit on... they neglect to say that they really gave little support to the diecast side, don't they? We were flying on our own over here, with Brian, but he had a gag order most of the time
Edit: I would like to add however that I am seeing LT1 Tony on here more each day and this is an encouraging sign that we may be kept abreat of what is going on with things

Thanks for the very interesting article. Hopefully, today, RC2 will see the wisdom of maintaining close ties with the Playing Mantis fan base. Johnny Lightnings are the cream of the 1/64 crop and we'd hate to see RC2's support go astray.

What Playing Mantis(NOW RC2) gets is even more valuable. Through the boards it can reach the burning core of its customer base with company news, promotions, and quick-and-dirty survey questions. It can vet product ideas with real consumers before committing a dime to development. Last year alone, board members promoted new products, provided remedies for Web-site problems, and helped bring Playing Mantis to a new understanding of who was actually buying its stuff.
What a cool article. Might not be a bad idea to post this permantly at the top of the first page. It really is a great read and makes any member especially newbies appreciate this board that much more. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
