Mine is a 67 El Camino. Current motor is a Small Block 355 flat top with 186 (2.02/1.96) double hump heads. Performer RPM intake and a 750 cfm Holley. TB350 with a small stall conv. Has a Posi with 4:56 gears. I kinda been running this combo for 2 years and wanna go faster. My brother and dad both have 68 Camaros. They both run Big Blocks. Well they convinced me to switch. I have a ready to build .030 over 454 just waiting for money to finish. I have a good set of 781 oval port heads for it.

Go with a big inch small block and enjoy the weight savings. Seriously though, that is a nice Elky. BTW, what are you running in the quarter mile(if you don't mind me asking)?
