Hey guys i am getting with Big Steve to set up the dates for this season. I am looking forward to it drying up alittle to that i can get on the track and start moving dirt. I am hoping for the first race to be April but that may be a little premature we shall see. But for sure we will have a race in May.:thumbsup:
I have created a facebook page for the track so that you can see and ask questions about the track as the year goes on Here is a link, not sure if it will work but if it doesnt just look me up on facebook Chris Chmielewski and you can link to it from my page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/K-B-III-The-Outback/222245691195529
Looking forward to another great season at the OUTBACK,"more dirt, more dirt" ok we got that:thumbsup::thumbsup:. "Cover the Drivers Stand" we can do that:thumbsup: "Put something down on the driveway to the track" Assphault grinding on the way. "Have the MUGEN CHALLENGE earlier in the season so that the weather doesnt hurt it again. DONE
Cant wait to see you guys again and some new faces too:dude::dude:
You will never look stupid. All the guys at my track will help u in any way we can. Practice starts at 8am and racing starts at 1030am. Looking forward to meeting you:thumbsup:
I am new but going to be there bring stuff to run hope I don't look dumb but give it a go u don't have any kids classes do you I have a young son and a 13 that love hobbies to I have built a track in the back yard
We have a novice class that u can run what ever u want in. We welcome new racers only way to make this fun family hobby grow. We also have a family rate for race days to keep the cost down for the parents:thumbsup:
K we will be there as long as weather all right grandpa has a ten t he just got nothing tot 1/10 truggy right going to bring my short course revo and boys 1/10 electric trying to get a 1/8 truggy but seems like hard. To find a used one new not in budget right now what cost for faimly cant wait had a lot of fun when did this 25 years go now kids love a lot fun
So from what I understand so far the only thing I can run a losing ten t is in the novice class or change it should done my home work guess before got back into hobby
got the pipes off the track yesterday and about half of the jumps removed, today i will get the rest of them off and till the entire track. Then i can start laying down the new layout.
I have not seen much interest in the Grudge Race, please let me know if you guys want to do it, I kind of need to know today so that i can order the trophy, but as of right now it does not look like it will happen. I have only seen the nitro guys chime in about the race, if the electric guys are up to the challenge they need to let me know today so that i can get the ball rolling.:wave:
Unless it's like Chris mentioned, and a 15 minute race, then I simply don't have enough batteries, or interest in melting down the car. I likely wouldn't be in the top 5 electric guys anyways though
My wife has to work on the 6th, hopefully I can find a sitter and make it out
There's probably no electric interest in the Grudge Race, cause with it being a 45min race, no one wants to burn up a Motor or ESC.
Pit stops for Nitro would definately be easier and faster refueling vs. trying to remove a battery and plug a new battery in.
What about thoughts on a K&B Points/Grudge Series....
with running once a month it would be easy enough for people to show each time and then have the Grudge/Points trophy at the end of summer/fall, just an idea.
we could do that and i would put up the same money and trophy for the last race to award it.
How long can the escales go i still want the race to have atleast one batt swap and i will make the nitro guys pits to equal a swap. even if the nitro guys have to come in 5 times. I dont want to run a bunch of 10 minute races.
Or what ever you guys want to do i am open to different things
It's a little hit and miss on Escale, mine can make 15mins how it's currently set-up, but track and driving style could change that. If I took it easy and changed gearing it might make longer.
This past weekend, Ryans clapped out Caster that hasn't ran in 2yrs made 25mins out of 30min Main we ran just for fun.
To make sure I understand correctly and maybe for others as well that read this... Nitro would have to pit (refuel) and wait "X" amount of seconds.... to equal a battery change out....
Maybe 15min main with Escale stop & go to equal a Nitro refuel. I've done that before at a few places.
Maybe get a few others to chime in and see what thoughts are as well....
but a Summer K&B Points could be interesting and it's spaced out enough between dates that it should work out and then would have trophy presentation the last race day in the fall before going to indoor racing.
ok here we go 15 minute race with no swap in escale, top 5 from each nitro and escale will compete. 100 points per race and it will be done after every regular race day not the mugen challenge.
1st 100
2nd 95
3rd 90
and so on
Escales will have to come in and do a 6 second stop and go and nitro will have to pit once. We will have someone in pit lane to count the stop and go. Escales can not do the stop and go on the first lap. They must wait till the 5 min mark before they can come in.
At the end of the summer points will be tallied and we will crown the Gudge winner for the year. $150 and a obscene trophy that they will hold till the next years winner is crowned.
We will only drop one race for the summer. So that is your best points from 3 out 4 regular races. These will be the normal Sundays races that are set, not any of the extra days like the Sat races. Award giving out at the Sept race.
Man to i love a fresh layout to work with. I have all the dirt off the track and i even laid down a few jumps, getting the roller this weekend and will put the rest down and have her ready for the 6th. Cant wait for the first race.:dude::dude:
