Hatch - search

I used to have a hatchBack matchbox (or similar) car where the hatch opened. Car was all metal (obviously :-)). It may have been a ford escort but I am not sure. Anyone have any ideas? I am re-living my childhood and am searching for something similar today.

What years are you talking? Would help narrow down.

I have a purple Kidco Honda hatchback that is early 80s. There were other colors too I believe. Here's a crappy old picture with it in the bottom left corner.

There's also a Matchbox LeCar with an opening hatch.

There was also the Peugeot 205 from Matchbox. Maybe not it though.

Don't forget about the 82 Supra hatch. It was plastic.

Found a great page if that Kidco was setting of alarms. Has pictures of the Accord hatchback in 3 colors as well as a Chevette.

I'm going to have to look for the Z and the RX7 now.

Here's a Hot Wheels hatchback with an opening hatch: the Peugeot 205 Rallye, though there doesn't seem to have been an all-blue variant.

There is a black-blue-purple variant listed at Texas HW Collectors.
