Racing hasn't been under the lights for a few yrs. now. Only special races like this Friday which will start in the evening.

I meant is it the same as a Saturday club race or is the qualifiers run different or less time in the mains

Usually though, the only difference is the lights are on

That, and racing at night makes for the best track surfaces. Water once, and without the sun, the track stays nice and moist. Couple that with the dew that naturally forms, and the track stays tacky and consistent.

We used to start races at 4 on saturdays, so the mains were always under the lights. It also allowed people that have to work on saturdays a chance to still make it out. I think we should get back to doing this!! Now that the track is smaller and the lights sufficient for the size, I think it would really help the turnouts!!!
