Nothin but "TM"
We have two track records @ Glens Falls NY.

My Question is, Frank, do you run the "Turbo caps" and do you feel they hurt performance at all???

Their a little heavy. I don't think they change performance at all if you need to add the weight to the car.

Hey Frank

Great run in 6 cell mod at new castle (guys this was a run that the car had 6 cells in it on a slots for 4 cells. wow
then the tires under the chassis where there for the best car on the track).

Chris also a wow with a 68 lap run new track record by i think a lap and a win with again T.M. tires

Mike very good after a lap down at the start

All i have to say i've been running T.M. tires for a couple of years now and they are the best tires for any class.
If your looking for a change or wanting to try out a different tire instead of what your running

Geez, brings back memories... used to run T.M. back when Tony ran the place. From my understanding Tony doesn't own T.M. any longer?

"Frank Ulbrik"
01-02-2005, 05:55 PM
Tony still owns & makes the tires himself. You were missinformed.

I got one for you Frank,in mod what TM tire do you run on the right front?

Purple seems to change to much during the run for me would a Dbl black be something to try??

"Frank Ulbrik"
01-04-2005, 06:13 PM
If the car is set up good the purple won't change. Last weekend I ran 6 cell mod with a purple RF & the car felt great the entire 4 min. The only time to run a double black in mod is if your having traction roll problems then switching to a dbl black helps sometimes. My bro runs a dbl black RF in stock & he likes it better than a purple in that class. But for mod stick with the purple & work around it.

Great Tires! we run them on asphalt on the nitro oval cars and they hold up really well and we have never broken a single wheel!

Yeah I figured,I did have traction roll problems with the purple But I had that sorted out.I think I will try to manage the purple with compound.........Thanks

I run a purple right front in 19 turn and it has no problems when i have the car set- up right like Frank said

I run white rears and purple RF and green LF
in 19 turn and seems to be a fast set up

I've had other guys tell me to change to this and that but
If there not as fast as I am then why listen .........:)

Im curious as to weather any one has ran the T.M. spec tires before and how they compare to the TRC. Im having a really bad problem with the grey band chunking on the TRC ones and i was wondering if the T.M. tires were any better.

Thanx
Derrick

I haven't personally tried T.M. spec tires but I have heard nothing but good news about them, never heard of any chunking. I have seen them & they look awesome.

try the 2x blue on the RF for stock, I wont use anything else on a banked track, I made the switch from BSr an wont be swaping to anything else in the forsseable future, Love T.M. Tires to death.
for Classic I like the folowing.
starting at the RR and moving accross the rear of the car around to the front it goes....2X Black..Black...2X Black...2x Blue...If Things get greasy..I swap the Black to the RR, and use either a Gray, Green or White on the left rear.
I want to start experimenting with the G serris tires but have been running so effiecintly I have not done it yet...starting with my tires at 2.27...I am getting 5 weeks or better out of the first set, so 10 weeks plus out of 6 bags of tires is a real statement to qaulity.
Tony if you reading this..I need some stickers for the Arcor Open..@ classic....you comming Franky?

T.M. tires are running good at my local track.

This past saturday's show I went to win the A main by almost laps over the TQ.

after a big race and alot of traction was put down that weekend it left alot of question about what to run on a loose track.
I played the guessing game for 2 heats and said screw it went back to the same set-up as i ran the week before and was on a TQ pace to re-set it by a lap when lap traffic got in the way...... No TQ here, but I did go on to win by alomost a lap in the main with alomost 2 laps faster then TQ.

These tires are awsome and if you have any questions about them poat them here.
Because of the way they been working the last couple of weeks I know of alot of guys either switching to or only running T.M. tires.

Thanks to Tony (the owner) and some of his team drivers
for the help and performance on the track to show how good these tires really are.

For those guys looking for a race track to run at this weekend come to New Castle, In for there Snowbirds warm-up race.
Should be good turn out in 4 cell stock, 19 turn, and 4 cell mod.

Well I didn't set any track records in Jacksonville Florida's big outdoor asphalt oval but I ran 3 laps faster with TM tires over my last trip with Jaco's. Also TM tires are all I have ever run on my Nitro Oval car because the wheels are the only ones that will take the abuse and the foam is really "stuck" to the wheels!

I was at a race this weekend in Illinois... I noticed Tj Domark, and Terry Warner are now runing for TM.. If you know these guys, u know they are fast..Terrt is tuff to beat in stock, while Tj is tuff in 19 turn... Its great to see some more fast guys, making the switch to TM..
