Since I have been promoted and wife got a nice lil raise etc etc we or should I say I decided that she drives a cool car (04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Columbia Edition) why shouldn't I? I drive a paid off 95 Cavalier and just not something I think of as "cool" so I bought this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v66/thealgieres/camaro%20pictures/Signature.jpg

its a 95 Z28 with LT 1 350C.I. engine with a K&N FIPK, 6 speed, and knock off Z06 Corvettel rims (18 in all the way around)

its a blast to drive.. and the smoke shows are cool too! No the intial cost wasn't that high.. but with any toy.. the list of "gotta do" stuff is LONG :)

Its in storage right now.. so YES I am driving the cavalier around again.. LOL its much better equiped to handle Wisconsin winters with FWD and stock tires.

next spring its getting painted.. and after that recovering the leather seats.. after that probably some cool exhaust.. and after that.. well you get the idea LOL

thanks for the look

Looks like you just answered the question I asked in the other thread. DOH! I can't believe you didn't break down and find a way to get a '69 Chevelle! What kind of human being are you!?

The reason I didn't get a 69 Chevelle is because I can't afford to buy a "turn-key" SS and you can't get a loan for that much.. with this thing I could.. SO the Chevelle is going to be my "retirement" keep me from getting fat and lazy project! LOL

Sweet 57!!!! now THAT is what I am talking about..someday I will have another Chevelle LOL

Yep, I was pretty much kidding. That's why I said "find a way". :jest:

I know, it's pretty well impossible to get a loan for a classic car though and in all reality a properly restored Chevelle is much more realiable than the Z. The bonus is you can work on it if it breaks. Now, pay off the Z quick save up a little extra $$$ then find someone with a decent Chevelle that'll trade because they are sick driving an old car everyday.

Thinking back, that's all I used to drive (old cars) and I finally felt I needed a new car and sold off a bunch of my old cars. That was stupid now. I had a '67 Mustang I got rid of for a '89 200SX back in 1990. The Mustang was a 289 Sprint, A/C, P/S, P/B and I bought it from the original owner that had garaged it since new. Hindsight is 20/20.

This year I decided to build an "older" car/truck. It still "had" a computer though. Soon I will be puling the motor and tranny for a rebuild. It's been a budget vehicle from the start. When the motor and tranny are rebuilt I'll still have $3500 in it though. :(

actaully I LOVE my Camaro.. I don't see me selling it.. sure pay it off.. and then buy me a Chevelle.. but I plan on holding on to it for a LONG TIME.. reliability really hasn't been an issue *knock on wood*. Actually what I WANT to do is after I retire and I go back to college I want to take a couple of body repair classes and learn how to restore the metal on these babies and then do ALL the work myself.. now THAT would be something! I would be able to rebuild not just the drive train but ALSO fix all the body.. LOL just need to build me a "shop" to do all this stuff in

Nice Camaro!
I don't see anything wrong with owning a Cavalier either. I have two of them. Both are '89 Z24 convertibles. They're peppy little cars that are fun to put the top down and go cruisin in the summer.
