Looking to buy a tire truer and trying to do my homework. If you needed to purchase just one truer at a reasonable cost, that would do both foams and caps, which truer would you select? And keep in mind reasonable price.....not an el cheapo, it just needs to do a good job and be worth the money.

just like anything in life you get what you pay for. HUDY all the way. by far the best on the market.as far as caps go, just put them on the car and go, no need to true them. you buy them pre staggered if you need too. Left Right Standard

I would agree that you get what you pay for. BUT this in this instance, the Integy tire truer is very good. The price makes it a better deal then the Hudy and you get a case to put it in. KC Racing has one of these and it has cut soooo many tires and is still going strong! Check with Murdock he might have one in stock. Oh, get his carbide cutter, it works great.

Purchased the Integy Tire Truer with carbide cutter from Murdock and it is great plus half the price of the Hudy, I highly recommend the Integy.

20TN40,
I recently purchased the Integy manual tire truer and have been very pleased with it. And yes I also use it to " scuff in my cap tires " before I run them!
