I just purchased a new Associated RC10L4 oval car and am planning to run 4 cell stock paved oval. What should I look for in a servo? I'm currently using a Futaba PJ-super fm, but hope to upgrade to a Futaba PK transmitter w/hrs receiver.

futaba S9550
its low profile so it doesnt take up much room, and its digital :) not super fast either :)

it ways 1.6oz which is just slightly less than a typical fullsize, but minis still way approx 0.9 so you're only talking about 3/4 of an oz. and the 9550 is going to have more torque (mostly by a lot) compared to minis.

really you're not gonna go wrong with anything from futaba / jr.

i use the futaba s3002 mini metal gear.. work great and ive never had a problem...

If you dont want to spend 60-100 on a servo .. go with a hitec 225mg, or they have a digital version also.. the diggital is more expensive, but the 225mg is 30 bucks and metal gear... it is fast to..

most servos are preference.. u can use anything u want.. as long as it has over 30oz of torque.. it will work fine...
