Was watching the Space Channel and they showed a scene from
an old movie that looked like it would be a hoot.

The scene was an army of Ghouls, Corpses, Skeletons, etc...
getting ready to lay siege to a castle. Some of the undead
army were, as they were marching, playing musical instruments
(flutes, drums) made from bones.

It was filmed in that "sepia" colour.
Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Thanks,

James :)

Sounds a LOT like "Army of Darkness" with Bruce Campbell, last movie in the "Evil Dead" series.

But "Army of Darkness" is a newer movie. This looked like
one of those older cheapie (sepia tones) ones they film in Italy
or Mexico, etc..

Was Army of Darkness filmed like that?

I'm not sure what you mean by "sepia tones", sorry. I guess I'm a Luddite when it comes to terms like that.... :(

IIRC, the movie did have a look/feel of some of the movies from the late 70's/early 80's where it had a sort of... I don't know... "tinny" look to it? Something along the lines of the Terence Hill flicks like "They Call Me Trinity", "Trinit is STILL My Name!" and my all-time favorite - "My Name Is Nobody" with Henry Fonda.

Anyhow, from the description of the scene you mention w/the walking dead playing instruments made of bone, it sounds like "Army of Darkness". Was there a lot of silly banter amongst the corpses/skeletons? If so, that sorta clinches in my mind.

What I mean by "sepia" is shades of light brown. Instead of black and white they are done with differents shades of browns. I have seen old films, and photographs (if you ever go to one of those "old west" attractions they will take your picture in old clothes in that colour), done this way.

It probably is "Army of Darkness". They may have filmed it that way to give a certain "atmosphere" to it.

I will check it out.

Thanks,

James :)

This probably aint it but I'm reminded of REVOLT OF THE ZOMBIES with the army of zombies/ghouls in the WWI uniforms.
