I run a Terminator Pro -- set the wheelbase down to 10" so it turns hard, slide the track forward to exactly 1/2 way on the wheelbase, slide it all the way out to the left, leave the pod centered, pull the left wheel in until it lines up with the LF tire and almost rubs on the pod... Bolt in a motor, tape in a pack and ZOOOOOoooooommmmmm... :D

Believe it or not but I'm running an EV10SS with a Leftside Drive chassis. I've had it for nearly 9 years now and its the fastest, best handling car I've ever had. I've tried almost every car that has came out but gave up on them all and haven't tried anything since in the past 3 years. Granted I have 9 years of fine tuning. If anyone would happen to have any rear pod plates for an EV10SS or any other parts for it let me know. Thats the only draw back with this car. No parts.

Simple answer to your question. They are all good and they all can be made to work.

The associated will be a bit tougher to get dialed on a flat bull ring then some of the others, but it can work. I have been impressed with what I've seen from the Custom Works car, but I think the tuning options may be a bit much for a less experienced racer. The KSG is a much simpler car but it still runs great.

What you should do is pick the car that the majority of fast guys at your track are running. That way there will be more guys to help you out. Also, if you have one or two good buddies you always race with, get what they have. That way you can work together to get dialed.

I run KSG myself.

I've got a grip of parts for the EV10SS cars. e-mail me @ edimmick4@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Well lets assume you already have a car and like everyone elses it's based on an Associated designed front end and rear pod. Well I'd look at the Maverick line of conversion kits because after it's all said and done almost everyones kits with a few exceptions are just that. Conversions. With that being said, The Maverick is a well thought out simple design that wont confuse the social racer with too many adjustments, Butt(tm)has enough to be competitve anywhere with the serious racer whether it be a small tight bullring carpet track or the medium to huge outdoor tracks.

There is both a slider and solid chassis version and both feature accurately cut graphite and tight tolerance machinework on the aluminium pieces. Jake Rosen, The owner is also very knowledgeable on oval racing and accessible by both phone and here on the product support thread. I personally prefer the OPC or one piece chassis car for the main reason is it's more durable being cut out of what looks to be 3mm carbon fibre and even though it has no slider, The batteries can be placed in more different locations than most sliders I've looked at. It's also very durable and that I can attest to personally since I've put mine through many high speed durability tests and other than a few scratches there has been no damage at all. Richard Petty once said "In order to finish first you must first finish" and this holds true in r/c racing as well. Whichever kit you ultimately decide on just remember that this hobby/sport is supposed to be fun and if the car you purchase isnt fun to race with or work on, Sell it to me for $10 and I'll have fun with it for ya!

Maverick, Maverick, Maverick...

Any questions just post them for us, call us, or e-mail us. Jake is about one of the most accessable players in the busness. It also doesnt take being a team guy to make the car go fast. We sell what we race.

Check out the 05 H.E. Maverick that will be out shortly. Prototype pics are on the site. Not just fly by night design work that was used for this car, there was a lot of time spent making sure that everything is a correct as it should be.
