Be forewarned, I have pulled the pin on the "Holy Hand Grenade" for this post.
I'm going to my Sisters for holiday, so I'm not sure how much I'll be posting in the next few days, so I thought I'd leave all my mates here with a little Christmas cheer--:)

Sung to the Nat King Cole version of "A Christmas Carol" (play it and sing along)...........

Slot cars coasting by an open fire
Track lost--splitting under toes
Tyco barrels being flung by the tires
And folks razzed up-- ready to go
Everybody knows, a T-jet lubed with red oil goes
and helps to make the racing tight
Tiny slots with their arms all a glow
will find it hard to cool tonight
We know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of slots and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna smile
to see if Marchon jets really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase--
to kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways....

I apologize for putting this in the wrong catagory--I suppose it should have been in the Customs section. Oh well, so much for that.

Thank you for the Christmas wishes from all who replied.
It was truly nice to see and feel the gestures offered.
I hope all on the board reflected their feelings to one’s close to them, also.

This is the best time of year to proclaim good will towards your fellow man.
It made me feel very happy to post this thread. :)

Great sentiment Boss, and great poem! Was at my brother in laws all weekend, so haven't had time to respond in any meaningful way. But I'll say this: That I hope everyone gets to (or got to) spend the holidays in the company of those who are most important to them. I'm blessed that I was able to, as most of my family live pretty close by.

I hope everyone got to share their slot tables with their families, as slots are a great get together that can be enjoyed with young and old. Sometimes if you get into the hobby deep enough, its easy to lose sight of the fact that we're really just grown men playing with toy cars. Looking at it through a kid's eye brings it home. Even though I lost a nose wing on one gplus, and had another one just quit on me, I wouldn't trade the family slot race this year for anything.
