Gee, and after all those posts, you gotta go and change yer handle.... Congrats on the promo, SFC! Nice to see you're still "active".
straightnnarrow 12-25-2004, 12:27 AM Hi Al,
Good to see you are still around and congrats on the promotion. Drop in when you can and don't be afraid to ask a few old friends for help with the Muscle Machines if you need a hand. ;)
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family,
Clark :D
Staff Sergeant 12-28-2004, 10:31 PM thanks for all the kind words.. LOL I can't change my handle.. it won't let me hahahaha oh well no biggie..
I pretty much have stopped collecting anything but 69 Chevelles.. and with them coming out with the new "nascar" chevelles.. looks like I am gonna stop collecting them too.. TOO EXPENSIVE.. *shrug* oh well what ya gonna do?
AL
JDogg 12-30-2004, 01:42 AM Welcome Back!!!!! And congrats!!! Yeah I know I think MM's are done with the Chevelle's. Well that's just my opinion. I can't even find just the plain old 69'Chevelle's around here no more, just the wagons.
STILLtheMADMAN 12-30-2004, 01:42 AM  Big Al,
Its good to stop by here and see a post from You my friend ! You are missed. I know my funds are much less these days ... and if I had as much trouble finding cars as some of you guys do across the country, I think I'd have to quit altogether. Congrads on the promotion ! Hope it'll get Ya a little more pay. I'll try and get you off a e~mail this week.
Staff Sergeant 12-31-2004, 10:41 AM thanks bro.. the one thing I miss the most about collecting MM is people like you.
JDogg shoot me an email on what your looking for.. if I have an extra you are welcome to any of them.

CorvetteAl 12-31-2004, 10:19 PM Congrats! Can I borrow some money? Good time to pin on, new year $$$ and also a BAH increase $$$! WooHoo!
AL (not a Staff Sgt and not Army ;) )
Staff Sergeant 12-31-2004, 11:42 PM yes from E6 to E7 IS a substantial raise.. plus I hit 14 years last April (another raise) and then the annual and that BAH increase, Yeah I must say.. I can afford my new toy ;)
AL
CorvetteAl 01-01-2005, 01:40 AM Looks like you got me beat by just a few months. Also by a pay grade now, of course we promote slower too.
And the NEW TOY is??.........
Geez, this always gets concusing with both of us going off of AL. Happy I didn't use to go by SSgt too, then stuff would of got tricky. :)
Staff Sergeant 01-01-2005, 12:36 PM that is EXACTLY why I am glad I didn't join another service.. air force has better living conditions but slower promotions..Navy..the idea of being on a boat for that long just doesn't appeal to me.. and marines... actually if I hadn't joined the army I would have joined the Marines.. but they are the red headed step children of the services and with the "the few the proud mentality I couldn't bite of on it.. i am not that much of an elitists. :) EVERY service is good.. I just did my research and figured the Army was the one that best suited what I wanted to accomplish... to make E-7 before I retired. E8 will be gravy if I get that lucky!
AL
CorvetteAl 01-01-2005, 12:58 PM With my new job I WILL make E-7 before I retire. E-8 isn't in my future. :( I researched everything when I was a kid and came real close to quitting high school & getting a GED then joining the Army. THANKFULLY there was an honest Army recruiter (I know oxymoron) and when he saw my ASVAB scores he told me to go to school a few more months, get my diploma and come back as I well more than doubled most of his recruitee's scores.
I finished school then one day out of the blue decided I wanted to see the world (ok, got in a fight with my father and said I was leaving) and went to join something. Air Force had the shortest basic training so I figured that was for me. I don't regret a bit of it, I saw the world (all of it) and lived there too. Now I am back home AND I get to be in the military (translation, steady paycheck). Who could ask for more?
Staff Sergeant 01-01-2005, 05:28 PM LOL yeah that is more or less how it was with me.. only I got married.. saw I didn't have enough money to continue with college.. so went to see a RESERVE Recruiter.. and she wasn't there so the AD guys scooped me up.. I was 23.. and as they say .. the rest is history. 14+ years later I haven't looked back

PWSchuh 01-02-2005, 08:35 PM Hey AL, huge congrats on making E-7. I know what a milestone that is and how hard you have worked. God bless.
