We need a list of all the different changes to the Tuff One chassis since series 1 so members no what series to look for with the best running chassis.

I will start off with what I know and everyone can add to this.

Series one;
Black Chassis, pickup shoe springs way too strong, guide pin too short. Some gear mesh problems.

Series 2;
Gray chassis, guide pin corrected, commutator brush holes too tight on some, causes no run, or hot motor.

Series 3;
Gray chassis, brush holes good, bad gear mesh.

After that I lost track, I know one series had way small commutator brushes or holes way too large.

Now the current Bowtie Brigade the armatures are Way Off Center resulting in binding of the gear train.

Anyone else? List possible?

Thanks,
Keith

Series 4 and later: rear axle holes too large.
Series 6 and later: brush holes are really good.
All: Make sure the arm shaft is mounted in the center of the comm.

I have two Bowtie Brigade cars/chassis.
I found that aftermarket brushes will NOT fit in one of the two chassis.
Haven't tried the second chassis...

I bought 2 bowtie impalas and both drove smooth and fast out of the box....but then again, I'm no real competative driver, just for fun.
