Thinking about buying a nitro truck. I'm a newbie and dont really know a whole lot about nitro rc,s. Looking to get either the Traxxas T-maxx or Savage 25. Can't decide need some of your wisdom. Also how important is reverse. Want something i can break in and run with alot of hop ups right away. Don't plan on racing strictly for recreatrion. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Take or leave reverse I leave it. I have 2 TMaxxes that I enjoy with lots of upgrades ,starting with the TQ3 radio/MX3, steering servo/ HITEC high torque,Tuned pipe/Golden Horizon tuned pipe, RPM arms,bulkhead braces,servo saver,and many more upgrades, RED

savage for racing but t maxx is a great basher out of the box and can be hopped up to the max!
