Let's say you were putting an interior in the new JL '59 Impala Convertible (this is the yellow one). What color would you make it? How about the top boot?
I'll say that I'm strongly considering a red interior with a black boot, mainly because when Aurora did a Lemon Yellow car with an interior, it seems that's what they did. (If you have the Bob Beers book, check the '62 Vibe Galaxie convertible, the '63 Tjet Galaxie convertible, Fairlane and Falcon.) On the other hand, I have a 1958 Chevrolet brochure at home and it shows a '58 Impala convertible in a similar color... with a two-tone aqua and white interior. Kinda weird, but kinda cool too. Saddle or beige seems like it would go well, and black would work too, but I think in the 50's they tended toward brighter, more flamboyant two-tones, no?
Anybody else have any ideas? Or do you like the traditional Aurora red interior/black boot?
thanks in advance...
