View Full Version : AfxToo--I need your help
boss9 12-13-2004, 12:52 PM Hey there Afx,
A couple of things--
First, could you tell me where you would recommend me purchasing the SRT Crown Vics? I recall you posting a place where they weren't too pricey--can I get that info from you again?
Secondly, On the "Chat tonight" post, you gave Shadow some great tips on protecting your pc. I mentioned on chat that I was getting a new pc (Dell). I'm going to try and set it up this week (still waiting for the p...rinter). I would like to take your advise and follow your instructions completely on the new set-up. What I have now is a disaster. Even when I edit my posts some of the words come out weird along with a slew of other probs. If I run into a snag or misunderstand something, can I contact you (email) and maybe you could "walk me through it" ? I tried Pm'img you about this, but was not allowed access. You can pm me and I'll give you my email addy.
Thanks you for any assistance you can offer.
Cheers..
boss9 12-13-2004, 01:14 PM Sorry for the double post--this is one of the probs that have recently come up while trying to preview the new post. Also, as you can see some of the words are weird.
Cheers..

boss9 12-13-2004, 03:02 PM Hey Mates,
You guys kill me! :p
I wish it was that easy.....I could fix that!
Let's clear the air here since this has come up a couple of times and I've been taken to task about it before--
Sure, I drink-- but in moderation..... About two cases a year.
I'm not fond of Yank beer, so I drink import @ about $60.00 a case, so I can't afford to drink more than that. I'd bet that some here drink that much in a month or two.
The Church deal was a fluke-it was their tab and it was that or sodas/soft drinks and I don't like soda-if that's what you call Pepsi or Coke-a-Cola (more like battery acid to me).
I like eggnog (spiked) at his time of year too, but this is the only time I buy liquor
I know you guys are just tickling my funny bone-so no worries. ;)
Just don't mess with my Tea!
Cheers!

Ahh, in that case, I think you need to drink more! Try the Guiness....
JPRcustoms 12-13-2004, 07:39 PM Dude!....You got a Dell!!!!!! That was your first mistake. When a Dell PC does work, they are just fine, but being the primary shipper for Dell products world wide, I cant tell you how many HUNDREDS of returns I see every night, just from my station in central NJ. Defective monitors, drives, cards, and laptops. They do have a great service department though. I've picked up busted up lap-tops on Mondays, and delivered the repaired unit on Thursday. OH....one more little tip for you Boss....You know that little tray that slides out of the front of the computer? It for CDs.....not a tea-cup holder!! LOL <just teasing ya on Brians behalf> :jest:

I must be the lucky one then. In 7 years of having Dell for Home (dial up, normal stuff) to numerous different networked work stations at work, I have never had a problem. EVER.
As with any item though, I am sure there is someone out there that would never own another one. Such is the retail industry. Good choice Boss.

Hey bro, seriously, I was just pickin' on ya. I don't think you're a drunk or anything like that.....so no need to defend yourself man. I happen to like drinking....I could drink beer (I prefer Bud Light.....ya, I know) but I prefer liquor. My preferred drink of choice is a White Russian....or a Crown and Coke. I'd drink at least one white russian a day if I could.....but my wife tends to want to crack my balls when I get wasted.......plus I really don't want to turn into an alcoholic.
But rest assured...I do love to drink....and my brother's even worse....lol....he drinks Crown Royal like it's water  :D
I'm a diehard tea drinker too...... I prefer that Lipton pre sweetend with lemon instant tea stuff....but I can drink any tea....
I just seized and opportunity to crack on ya....sorry if I ruffled anyone's feathers.....
