I have a protoform body and run a wing. Can anyone tell me the effects of moving the rear wing towards the roof of the car or back towards the rear of the car. i am running a protoform light weight monte carlo body and a generic wing.

Less effect the closer to the roof, . Higher off the deck has more effect. don't go above the roof.

The more foward the wing, the more streering, the more back the wing, the more rear
down force (rear bite)

Excellant, thanks for the information. My wing was right off the roof. My car would break loose into and out of the turns. I feel that I do not have enough rear bite. I am going to move the wing half way back and see how the car reacts.

Jflack, what do you mean by "I'm sure with foam tires there will be cases."

Jflack, Got your point. Let me ask you one more question since we are talking the effect of tires. I use FX tire compund to increase traction. I race my car once a week here in florida on pavement. Do I need to clean the FX off tires in between race days? I have heard rumblings about cleaning the foam tires and wanna know if there is any truth. Thanks for all the 411.

If the tires look and feel fine on the track leave them alone but some surfaces and combinations of compound "mix from other racers" will cause odd buildup that will slow the car sometimes just that no I'll handling just slow the car from too much traction.
When this happens we use mild dishwashing detergent then towel/air dry the tires with no softening or splitting problems just a faster car...
