I recently bought a Microsoft wireless Keyboard and mouse. But it did not come with batteries so i went out and bought some heavy Duty Batteries! But after a week or so i was prompted to put in new batteries! So i did and another week went by and again i am told to put new batteries in. So i gave up on heavy duty batteries then went to Alkaline batteries! I have had them for about a month now and i am puzzled to why the Heavy Duty Batteries lasted such a short time! any ideas?

Alkaline batteries typically have 400% or more capacity then Zinc Chloride (Heavy Duty) batteries.

those heavy duty batteries have as much heavy duty'ness as a paper towel. if i were you there is lithium batteries out there by energizer. last longer then alkaline. but never buy the cheapo's they mostly leak and don't last long.

LOL! I will agree. AFter investing a ton of money into heavy duty batteries I realized that the problem with my mp3 player was the batteries and not the player. You get what you pay for with heavy duty batteries and that is nothing. Someone should do something about false advertising with heavy duty batteries cause they are scamming alot of people who are looking for a good deal. I definitely would go for alkaline over anything else

tell ya one thing if you have a dollar general(i know a cheapo store) they are really getting good stuff. tried their cheap alkaline batteries and i have to say they are good. but yes they should advertise on the battery or package what they use for power be it cadmium,or alkaline and lithium. i have to say those lithium batteries last considerably longer. left 2 c batteries in my maglite 10 hours later going straight they still had some power left.

Yeah heavy duty batteries are no good at all. I'm not sure why they even make them anymore when alkalines are so much better. I had a mix of batteries stored in my closet maybe 3 or 4 years and the heavy duty ones were dead while the alkaline ones still worked perfectly. I've also noticed heavy duty batteries dim out in my flashlight while alkalines keep it the same brightness for a longer amount of time and even up until they finally die. I'd never buy another heavy duty battery again. Big waste of money even if they're slightly cheaper than alkaline.

exactly slightly cheaper for the heavys but more use from the slightly more expensive alkalines. alkalines are the way to go for your high battery use stuff
