Hey Guys-

A co-worker gave these to the wife, since she knew I was a slot c...ar buff. I have no idea what they are. They look to be about 1/43rd scale and kind of toy like. Maybe from a battery powered set? I don't know what to do with them since I don't have a set that size.

Thanks for any info.:)

Cheers..

Those are from battery-powered (usually) sets by Artin and a few other companies who have knocked them off. VaBchRog and micyou have gotten into them pretty heavily as of late--check some of their recent posts on track layouts and custom bodies. If you collect a bunch of sets to build up a good track supply, and make sure one of them has the adapter for plugging into house current, they can be a hoot. They are toy-like, but in a good way. I have a couple of the sets and a few cars--me and my son have spent a little time diddling with them...

Hey Park,

I appreciate the reply. I really wasn't sure what they are or what to do with them. You telling me there's an adapter to utilize these with other A/C powered sets sheds a whole new light on things. The girls have the "Screamin' stunt jam" set but have a bit of trouble keeping them in the slot. This might just be the answer. I frequent the Salvation Army and Goodwill often enough looking for slot sets and such so it shouldn't be much of a prob to pick something up.

Then again with the Bed and bath post, I might jut go whole hog on this.

Might make a good Xmas gift for them.

Thanks again, Rick

Cheers Mate..

Hi Boss,

Those are Artin 1/43rd. They look like the standard DC 6-8 volt cars. I have extra Artin power supplies, terminal track and controllers if you need something I can send you something. Who makes the "Screamin Stunt Jam"?

If you decide you don't need those Artin cars I would be happy to trade for HO.

I got an Artin set at K-B a couple years back specifically because it had the AC adapter. Other than that, I've picked up a few yard sale sets, but i've never done much with it...

Morn' Micyou,

The "Screamin' stunt jam was one of the first Tyco sets released under the Hot Wheels brand. Basically a small layout with a short wall climbing section and a jump and a loop. The cars that came with the set were the 40' Ford pickup in blue and the Twin-mill in red. They are 440x2's--a little fast for a five year old, don't you think? I had to remove the wall-climb sections because that's where she and her younger sis' would always de-slot. Their runner favs' are JL's purple 57 Vette and the pink Nomad from the first series with mag chassis' I set up. Oddly enough, they both really like the 90's Stocker but prefer to keep them with the pullback chassis so they can run them on the floor.

Thank you for the generous offer! I have Pm'd you.:)

Cheers!
