I have been searching for a good quality scale with a decent price and was wondering if you would buy this scale? Price would be $24.95 each.

Specs and review by an independent trade magazine:

Capacity: 550g
Readability: 0.1g
Accuracy (as tested): ±0.1g
Calibration: Digital Auto Calibration using a 100 gram weight (not included)
Warranty: Lifetime (no fees)
Included Accessories: Batteries, Cover
Size: 5.75" x 3.25"
Auto power off: 90 seconds auto off
Operation temp.: 15°C-30°C/60°F-86°F
Display: LCD 4 digits x11mm

The performance was quite good, accuracy remained +/- 0.1g after calibration during our entire test. Drift was minor and within tolerance (no drift within 20 seconds, 0.1g - 0.2g drift occasionally after 20-40 seconds. Beyond performance, we found it to be extremely durable. The scale uses a 5 Point Protection System to prevent overload of the scale. We placed a 5kg weight on the tray 10 times. Normally just putting a 5kg weight on a pocket scale's tray one time would destroy it. However the scale wasn't even slightly affected by this abuse.

Let me know what you think!!!

is that 100g capacity correct? if so it wouldn't be very useful as a tweak scale which it looks like it could be very good at. One thing i've noticed using these smaller scales is that it matters quite a bit where on the pad you place the weight which is something that isn't very easy to do with rc cars with different size tires, camber and whatever else.

Could 2 of these be used on a tweak board??? I'm looking for 2 reasonable priced scales

Crisis is correct. With 28g per ounce, the scale needs a capacity of at least 1400 grams to be effective. Could be a misprint though.

Argg.... looked at the wrong price.

The 550g scale would be $24.95

550g is over 1.2 pound which would be about right for one scale per wheel.

Could I get less expensive scales? Sure could, but most of them are not very accurate and can't be calibrated... something that has to be done to get correct weights.

Let me change the above post.

Now I like these. 4 of them and look out. Make your own calibration tool. Just need 3.52739164 Ounce, set on it and your done.
