Rob good deal,

I threw a set in my Epic Roar stocker 2 weeks ago and it shut my T30 down at 11.4 amps at 2 volts no fan.
These are the real deal !!

Are these mostly a brush for stock or would they work well with 19T?

These brushes are the real deal. Me and Kenny at KC racing have been working with Rick for the past 6 months along with a few other racers to help perfect these brushes. I think alot of people are in for a treat once they solder a pair of these puppies in!!! They will be the exclusive brush used in my complete line of stock and 19 turn motors as soon as I get enough of them!!

Some of the test brushes and production brushes were used by one of my drivers (Mo Denton) to build motors for Eli Ezrow, who TQ'd and won Masters TC and 12th scale. There were also used in motors he build for Mike pulfer (A main in TC stock and 12th scale) and Junior Norton (A main in Masters TC and 12th scale). Mo Denton and Eli Ezrow also used them to win the Halloween classic at the Gate back in early October. Already race proven!!

how do i go about ordering some of these brushes. Also what is the com wear like with them?

Hooked911

Most of the hobby shops here on line are starting to carry them. If you want give Rick at Finishline a call www.finishlinerc.com (http://www.finishlinerc.com) and ask him, but check your hobby shops first. Always try to support your local shop!

As to the comm wear. Its not even funny when I say there is basically NO wear or tear on the comm. I ran a KC 7X2 arm with these new brushes and that arm was the best looking comm I have ever seen!!!! That good!!!! I was so amazed I ran it again just the way it was and ran 2 seconds faster in the main!!!! Rick White really out did himself!!!!!

Let me know what your think when you get a pair.

Comm wear has been very good so far and serrations have been lasting as well. Kind of an odd combination but that is what we see so far. You can order them from MURDOCK R/C & PERFORMANCE by emailing MURDOCKRC@AOL.COM, calling or faxing at 712-428-4679

I dont use a dyno but I have my amp draws into the 10 to 11 amps at 36 degrees (2volts) with only one day of working on them in 19 turn. Not bad really. On track is where it is at though and on the track they have been performing quite well.

Jason Lambert

Odd, we all have tried them @ K/N now, and they are a lap slower.... I'd be curious to see what everyine is doing with these things to make them work.

frank p.
12-12-2004, 07:42 PM
Heavy springs, full face, 36 deg., watch your times i was able to drop a tooth. 2v no fan i was also able to pull 10-11 amps,.hint break them in a little using some motor spray and push on the back of the brush to seat it a little faster.

i dunno i ran between 4-5 pair of them Sat. and was faster than 4383's and Orions

frank p.

i dont use a dyno

one thing I have found with these brushes and the 4383 is the 3rd thru 6th run on them they really shine. I just skim the comm after every run

I run these in Stock, and once agian they ran stronger then any other brush i have used!!!! and i agree with the previous post they run even stronger after about 3 runs

12-13-2004, 12:40 AM
Ive had my fastest runs on these brushes about the 2-3 time around! These brushes dont hurt the comm as much and I think in turn you can run them longer! I dunno much yet as this has only been the 2nd week I have run them. I hope to learn more in weeks to come and will let you know!

These brushes are flat out AWESOME!!!

Nope I run at Classic Hobbies, Banked oval.... I TQ'd 2 weeks in a row on these brushes, not to mention ran 3 of my personal best lap times, What motors are you running? and what are you doing to the brushes, I have yet to hear any one say they get low amp draw?

burbs
12-13-2004, 01:35 AM
i gave them a shot this wekend at a 2 day race.. this was on a flat track... personally my putnam greens blew them out of the water... the brushes are very consistent, but i didnt feel the up front power i do with the putnams... they ran like a green does aboput two minutes in... but they did it all the way through the run...

i talked with eric anderson about them this wekend... he said do not go by dyno numbers, unless you have a turbo dyno... a fantom dyno does not give good readings for them.. the best i seen with them on the fantom was a 61.. my greens were up around 68..... im not giving up on them yet,, but it seems they work relly well in onroad racing, but oval still needs some figuring... there was some other guys running them that were fast, but there cars were super good to... so it is tuff to say...
i used them in my monsters, and int he new roar stock motor.. i did have a problem with amp draw.. i didnt get over 8 with any of the motors.. my greens pull about 12 amps... the motors were also zapped before i built them.. with the new zapper zubak had.. this zapper was the shizzle...my monster's went fron a 203-205 reading to 209 and 211.. monter rip after.. and i had about 8 runs on each motor.. i had zubie re cheeck them, and the mags were still as they were after the zap..

my two other buds used the standups in 19t.. they also didnt seem to like them much.. im sure we will figure out the trick to them...but so far were looking.. i will say comm wear was great.. and the motors lasted 3-4 runs before needing a cleaning... also if you are going to use a com drop, the zuback drop worked killer .. i tried others with no success... i was breaking a motor in and put a drop of zubie on.. 3 amp jump.. i havent ever seen that much with and motor even with zubie drops.. so i think this brush likes them...

sorry to say I put them in a green 3 same numbers or a little lower then putnam greens .may be a little better in a monster in my monster thy were 62 and 92 putmans are about the same.
