Thanks for sharing...!!! bb
Porsche911GT3 12-02-2004, 12:12 AM Wow! That red paint is gorgeous!
I'm thinking those rear wheels will last ooohhh about 5 seconds during a burnout!
TX Street Racer 12-03-2004, 09:16 AM Ok....where to start....
First off, I guess the stretched Camaro body is ok (meaning the lower body panels and lines) ......I can live with that....... BUT, those wheels are HIDEOUS! Jada obviously can't get thier head out of the "Ghetto" long enough to realize that most of these real Camaros don't roll around on "Bling Bling" monsterous 22" wheels (or whatever the hell size they are supposed to be)
This car is insulting to the Camaro IMHO........the series is called "Big Time Muscle".....then why not prove it by actually putting some beefy Camaro worthy rims on this car then? Instead Jada turns a classic into another cruiser for "Jarule" or whatever other rapper's name you care to think of.
This car is just one of the reason I RARELY by any of Jada's releases....
doggbert 12-03-2004, 01:22 PM Good points TX! It'll be interesting to see how well these sell and to who. Will these bring in that huge base of Muscle car collectors that Jada is after or will they sell to the existing Jada collectors only. So far the responses have been mixed, but I tend to agree with you that they over did it with the wheels and the lowered stance.
This look goes beyond the so called "pro-touring" or "g-machines" look. Just take a look at pro-touring.com and look at the gallery of 69 Camaros.
Jada made a name for themselves with DUBCITY and that line(which this is part of) is all about the big wheels.
reekman, how do those old KMC wheels with some actual rubber look on these?

It'll take a bigger tire than that!................

Then I'd say the body proportions are WAAAY of then.......and probably useless for customs.......

I kinda figured that, but I thought it was worth a try.

Please try to warn users with slower connection about the image sizes...
Thanks!
Kustom 12-07-2004, 10:38 AM those are awesome!
if you dont like them, dont buy them, why would you want regular old camaro rims on that badass ride? this is jada, not jl...I love what jadas doing with the btm line, very chip foose-ish in style :dude:  :dude:
micyou03 12-07-2004, 05:33 PM I thinkt those cars look awesome. I was beginning to see some of the older muscle cars dressed like that late this summer and into the fall here in Connecticut. As much as I like to see a stock original, they really look great this way also.
micyou03 12-07-2004, 05:35 PM The pictures weren't fully loaded before my last reply. Very nice detail too.

Chip Foose is one thing....at least his cars can be driven....so the whels DO work.....but this thing looks WAAAAY out of proportion......there's no way in hell you could drive that Camaro. Fantasy cars are one thing.....cars that at least look functional are another.
The car does look nice....I did say that.....it's the wheels that detract.....
Milezone 12-08-2004, 12:37 AM I cannot believe not one person noticed the '67 '68 front grill. It is definately not a '69 front. :-)

alatov95 01-05-2005, 09:38 PM I like this line because it reminds me of the concept drawings you see in magazines. The wheels are a little over the top, but overall, I'm excited about a different intepretation of the muscle cars of the 60s and early 70's.
When it comes to accuracy, JL is out there for us.
Jada continues to expand their base with their own signature of of our favorite vehicles.
I just hope the also improve their detail and quality, but what can I expect for 2 dollars at Wallys.

The 1/24 69 Charger front is wrong also!! It tilts out from the bottom and it has headlights!! It doesn't have the headlights on the 1/64 cars.
StreetFreak 01-15-2005, 09:55 PM I have the Black and Blue versions, and just picked up a Blue version with a White flamed front end, and it is by far is my favorite! I've seen quite a few of the Blue, Red, and Yellow ones at Walmart, but haven't seen any of these Blue FLAMED one making me think that they might not come in every shipment. Maybe even a little more rare?
Anyone have any info on these Reekman?
reekman 01-15-2005, 11:23 PM I saw the Blue w/ White Flames Show up on another board about a week ago......
What jada had told us is that this color would be one of the colors when they come out in a kit..........
But they showed up as singles in Target..........
Where did you get yours?..............
I'd really be interested if you got it at WM..........
Since, part of there explanation was that a mistake was made in ordering...........
Right........
Of course they told us the Hobby Guys would have BTM cars a whole month before anyone else and it ended up being a week......
O well it's still a hot bunch of cars...............
I can't wait to see the next batch................
Oh yeah! They also hinted that orange might be another kit color...........
Time will tell.......................
StreetFreak 01-16-2005, 02:10 AM Thanks for the EXCELLENT & PROMPT reply Reekman!:)
