HI All:

I am happy to announce that LEFTHANDER R/C will remain open under new ownership effective Monday, Nov. 29.

I am extremely happy that the business will continue on now with the new owner -- the website and e-mail address will remain the same, and we will post the new phone number and FAX numbers on the website Monday.

I hope you will all give the new owners the same support that you gave me and my wife.
Thanks, Jeff.

Thanks for all the kind words boys, but I know some of you really don't mean it!!!!!!!!
Its been an interesting 3 days but Junior, Dan, Nancy & I have got it pretty well under control. Although I'm wondering about Nancy, she was wondering if we could offer "starter kits", but then again I didn't marry her for her R/C abilities, just the insurance, bookeeping abilities, and the fried eggs

We have shipped all the outstanding orders, and are in the process of re-ordering inventory. Jeff left us a very organized and efficient operation and I am impressed with what he has done. GREAT JOB Jeff, We'll take good care of your baby.

If anyone has doubts about their orders, feel free to call 262/691-4347 or e-mail hays@reelingcart.com

Mr. Wood as far as sponsorship, you don't need any help judging by the awesome performance @ Trackside last weekend....Hmmm maybe I have some motors & batteries that will put you a lap behind me instead of a lap+ in front of me.

Wanted to let everyone know that the new website will be up soon with the new products we will be carrying, hopefully within a week. The old site is still up it just doesn't have some of the new products such as bearing kits, HD parts, Hefty Cells, KSG Toe Correctors, F-Brush, and Team 1's line of products. We just got in a fresh shipment of Johns BSR's and they are going fast, order now to be sure you get the tires you'll need for snowbirds.

Still have the F-Brush in stock (laydown & Standup) along with the hard to find 767's, 4383's and Putnam X-Brush.

Yepper -- the new website ROCKS !!

It has a complete on-line shopping cart, on-line credit card processing (PayPal too), real-time inventory status, and a completely new design.

Hope everyone will like it... it's just around the corner. I've been working with Hays and there has been a LOT of work that has gone into it.

Stay tuned !!! ....

Fully stocked on BSR tires, and got a fresh order of HEFTY CELLS coming in guys. Corey busted his butt to get all the batteries done before snowbirds and they're looking good. Good honest guy with good honest numbers. They always run very strong. Also ceramic/steel bearing sets in stock. KISBEY COBALTS are due in in the next few days also.

CANT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE IN SUNNY FLA!!!!!......ahhhh less than a week.

Do you know if Kisbey is winding the Cobalt based 19T's yet?

haysreeling
02-03-2005, 07:13 PM
The only difference between the Cobalt and the D5 is the can right now, theres not a new arm being wound yet that I'm aware of, they are still winding only D1 blanks. Corey ran the Cobalt can saturday, it ran considerably cooler than a D5 can geared the same.

Is the new can legal or not, thanks Mike

haysreeling
02-03-2005, 07:47 PM
Yes its legal as long as it has standup hoods on it. Its taking the place of the D5 which was discontinued, and is the only 2 magnet motor trinity makes now. I don't think it will have to be approved because the only difference is the fact that theres 2 big heat sinks on it, uses overhead springs and the endbell is more open to help with cooling, but it meets all the specs for roar, arcor and norrca the way i understand them.

Hays JR

AJS

How did Corey think it performed? My other question would be that changing to Cobalt magnets, it's still legal?

MARTIN

Is the complete 19t motor avalible yet or just the cans?

erock1331

Info regarding the new 19T's: Trinity 9teen and the Epic Fuji:

JB's wording is in "red"

Per JB from ARCOR:

Eric: Trinity and Epic are submitting their new motors as we speak and should be approved before the Classic race, under the 30 Day Production Rule. As of today it has not been approved. JB told me if she gets the motor in by Feb 18 and it meets specs then it is LEGAL for the ARCOR Open

"Cobalt 19 Spec Modified Motor"
Description:
Now you can get the hottest modified in RC for 19 turn spec racing. The Cobalt 9teen uses the same technology that
Ralp Burch used to dominate the 2005 Novak US Indoor Championships but channels it for 19 turn spec racing.Meets all
ROAR/ARCOR rules. It is being submitted, but has not yet been approved by ARCOR.

Built on the new Cobalt spec teardown, this motor features:
Hand wound armature Not Approved yet
Diamond trued commutator
Thinnest web armature allowed by rules for highest rpm Not approved yet.
New Cobalt can and endbell Not Approved yet. D-5,6 can with larger vent holes.
FB-9 wet magnets Approved: Same magnets that are used in the D-5,6 can.
Hi-performance 4383 silver brushes
Dual ball bearings
Adjustable timing
Factory installed capacitors
Dyno tuned and tweaked
Hi-torque flat wire armature winds for short tracks. Flat wire not legal as per ARCOR 19T specifications.
Hi-rpm round wire armature for hi-speed tracks. Not yet approved.

When I Talked to Mike Steinke from Team 1 and was told there wasn't a new armature yet and that they'll still be using the D1 blank. They would only send Team 1 the cans with p94 brush hoods, which we have in stock but you' have to change the brush hoods to standups.
Adam: Kisbey is shipping us complete motors today, should have them sometime next week. I was under the impression they were D1 arms, but I'll check and findout for sure.
AJ: Corey only had the can, but it seemed to finish much better than a normal D5 can because it ran a bit cooler. They are the same type of magnets as the D5 motor and they are legal.

hays-could you hold on my order and just ship a complete motor next week when they come in versus just the can?-adam martin

Hays check out www.teamtrinity.com (http://www.teamtrinity.com/)
they have a picture and description of the new motor. Its a whole new motor from what I understand, maybe the blank is the same but it still needs to be approved for competition.

Per Trinity - The Trinity's are avail now, the Epics another month or 2.

Ok thanks alot Eric wasn't quite sure, we've gotten different stories from a few different people so there was some confusion on all of this.

There was some misscommunication, we will only be getting cans with standup hoods, now and not a complete built motor. They will not come with armatures, though we have Kisbey arms in stock (D1 arms, not cobalt arms).

Thanks, Sorry for any confusion
Hays JR

Give us a call if you have questions and we'll explain this whole dilema.

I went and looked at the Trinity site and I guess I don't understand the difference between the cobalt spec motor, the 9-teen and the epic f-19 motor. I'm guessing that they are quad magnets, but from the information it doesn't say.

haysreeling
02-06-2005, 03:27 PM
AJ- The spec motor and the epic f-19 are both 2 magnet motors, Same can just a different endbell I believe.

Good luck to everyone at snowbirds.
See ya down there.
