Howdy Slotheads,
The HOSERS started our 6 week AFX and Magnetraction season last Sunday so heres a pic of one of my Mags.I built this car when JL release 1 pullbacks came out but never took a pic till now. She shows my drivin ability!
This car was owned by Ken Friez who lived here in Rapid City. He was my employer at the time it raced in the World 600 in 1975. It was driven by Darel
Dieringer at first but he was unable to finish so Benny Parsons got in as he had "blowed er up" earlier in the day. They managed to pull off a 12th place finish that day! I am also workin on this ones sister car #69 that Herschel McGriff ran in the Daytona 500 that year also. Should be gettin that body in a horse trade this weekend.

Excellent as always! What's up with that number decal? Did you make it, or buy it somewhere? In the pic it looks like foil. Do tell.

Hey Trev-
I make those decals (stickers) on my sign shop vinyl cutter. Its kinda tricky doin stuff that small but after a few years I seem to be figuring it out! The material is holographic decal film for signmaking. Its probably too thick for most modelers tastes but that dont matter to me since they arent shelf cars. They sit in my hauler (tackle box) until its time to abuse em.

Great work there, DAC-

The fact that you model these cars as replicas of the 1/1 cars, gives them a realisim that can't be surpassed. That is true customizing.
A super job on all counts!
Thanks for sharing the pics and the history behind the racers you make.

Cheers!
