bud3738 11-30-2004, 02:29 PM Chad....Some people from Maine are thinking of making the blast this year......Now that
K/N is a roar track......Will they need a roar membership for the blast?...they asked me to ask you since they dont have a computer...(being hicks from maine and all....heheheh)...see you next sunday..................
Jason Lambert 11-30-2004, 02:44 PM No roar membership required for winterblast...
I wonder if I use someone else's roar #, and sign up in their name, if I could get away without renewing.....
Hmm, maybe I am gonna be mark smyka for a weekend :)
PUF19 11-30-2004, 06:42 PM Dont be a cheep bitch! pay the membership!
NICK
Jason Lambert 11-30-2004, 08:45 PM but I'm poor. Like Kenny from south park....
" your poor Kenny... your POOR"
ovalrc 11-30-2004, 08:54 PM Is that cheep like a bird or cheap like having no money?
PUF19 11-30-2004, 10:27 PM Yea...
Jason Lambert 11-30-2004, 10:33 PM Cartman:
"your poor Kenny, your poor!"
I'll pay the silly thing, no big deal, I'm used to it. BUT, I do wonder how many people, locals I mean, will not be too happy when they show up expecting to pay 40 bucks for a handout race, and then get slapped with a 35 dollar roar mambership too. I have a funny feeling that isn't gonna go over too well, especially when this race was gonna happen wether it was a roar event or not. I'm intrested to see if this ends up being a positive or not with the attendance. I do understand why Chad made the decision to do it, and it's not really a bad thing, but I don't know if everyone else will see it that way. Have to wait and see.......
dancingd 11-30-2004, 10:44 PM Jason,you don't want to be Mark,you'll have to take Carissa..lol
lilvinnie 11-30-2004, 11:25 PM Nice of you to tell us now the tues. before the race that we need to spend an extra $35 for a useless Roar membership..... This race was gonna happen whether it was a roar race or not and now all of a sudden we need to buy this stupid useless membership that i will not use again within a year... So this entry fee is really $75 dollars for me to run stock.... Whats the deal with this BS.... Im not being cheap but $75 to enter a race with toy cars is crazy.. I can go race a real racecar for a day at this price at the dragstrip. $50 track rental and about $25 in race gas.... Whats the deal with this.
PUF19 11-30-2004, 11:39 PM way to go Jason! with that attitude does chad even stand a chance....
Way to back him up
Roar membership is NOT useless, do you not plan on running the regional @ K&N??
or the other Roar events that will follow now that K&N is back on the map so to speak?? I have about 7 Roar races this year on my membership, i dont see how that is useless....
NICK
weee37 11-30-2004, 11:48 PM i have to agree with the extra 35 dollars being silly. i have no problem payin 40 to race with a handout but i dont run many roar races to justify the extra 35 dollars for one day.
captain11 11-30-2004, 11:55 PM You can get a one day membership for $15 and if you decide too run another event you can pay the rest than.
THE BAT 12-01-2004, 06:59 AM Im so tired of hearing how cheap, poor or whatever you are that you can't pay a roar fee to race.Find a new damn hobby !! I here a ball of yarn is pretty cheap.Better yet if you prove to me that you won't be able to eat monday if you pay the roar fee i will pay it for you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jason Lambert 12-01-2004, 08:34 AM I was just busting balls on the membership.. I'll buy mine and be done with it, I was concerned that people didn't know that they needed to get this thing aren't gonna like it, this was not originally a roar race. Vinnie isn't happy about it, that's not my fault.
I understand about why Chad is doing it, he is trying to get on roar's good side to get teh nats next year, and I hope that it works. I wanna see him get the race, and have as many people there as possible all the time, I just don't know if this is gonna help.
To me, the roar membership is kind of useless, I know 100% that I will not travel to a national this year, and the regional has come and gone, I really won't use it again after this race, I am sure of it, but I'll pay and deal with it. It's the people that are on a limited budget, much more than mine, that I ws concerned about.
lilvinnie 12-01-2004, 09:01 AM What are the other Races that will be held at KN that this membership will be needed??? I would like to see how I can justify spending this extra $30 to race at this one race. Like Lamballs said I see where it is coming from but at the same time I am trying to buy a house looking at getting married and I only make so much a year. I am trying to save as much as I can while still having fun. I understand that this is a hobby and hobbies cost money but like I said before my other hobby is my real Mustang which I am trying to get going which I am also saving money for so if I keep spending extra money here how do I save??? I mean I will more than likely just spend it becasue I wanna race but it just seems stupid that all of a sudden we need to do this and more than likely I wont use the stupid thing again within a year and I will have to pay to renew it for next years race.... Just my look at it becasue Im not traveling to other ROAR races like I used to when mom and dad were paying for me back when I stopped doing this for a while. I have bought memberships before and I just feel that what is the track getting out of my membership???? other than the slight possibility of a National or regional....
By the way BAT settle down its only a HOBBY and a computer....JK
THE BAT 12-01-2004, 09:02 AM There is 2 more roar races at k&n one in feb and one in march.I know people are on budgets thats why there are different hobbies. This was never an inexpensive hobby and never will be.
