View Full Version : I'm looking for some white tires
Captain Fred 11-20-2004, 12:03 PM Anyone know where I can get some skinny front JLTO tires in white?
I'm just fooling around with customizing some JLTOs to look like WTs.
Other colors might be cool too. I have some pink cars that my wife & daughters occasionally run that have pink silicones on the back. I would like to have matching tire sets on my cars.
Last night someone mentioned Buds. I don't have the link handy, but I'm gonna continue looking around. It would be cool if we had a "sticky" of various links to slotcar and slotcar parts sources. Oh well, it's raining and I have time to kill. I think I'll look around some more.

There you go man...... it's been raining here most of the night I presume.....nasty looking day outside........good day to be working on customs
Captain Fred 11-20-2004, 12:46 PM Oh yes, the weather here sucks. I'm just sitting here trying to pass the time while I wait for the relatives to show up for an early Thanksgiving gathering.
I may end up out in the garage before it's all over. I might just work on my power supplies today. I guess I showed up on chat last night right after you had signed off.
Hey, here's an open question for you or whoever else wants to chime in.
Would it hurt just to use 4 separate stock terminal tracks, each one with a separate wall wart and 1 controller hooked up to each, on a separate lane?
I'm just weighing all the options before I start cutting.

No problem there at all. rr

Hey Capt.,
I still live in the"prehistoric" slot-era and that's the way I do it.
I hope to re-wire it all this spring with the expansion project I have planned.
Cheers..

Dragula makes silicons in colors but he dont have a website yet. Dragjet resins is his business. I've called him before at 859-356-1566 at just about any hour. Hope this may help. Circle Track DAC

Mike did buy the rears from that seller.....but the guy didn't have any of the skinny whites when he bought the rears....or else he might have considered those. The only drawback from those skinny whites is that they aren't ribbed..... :(
Captain Fred 11-26-2004, 11:12 AM Actually, when I bought the rears from that seller I contacted him and asked him if they also sold white front tires for TJets. He replied that the same tires would work for the front too. I don't think so. I assume he either doesn't know what I'm talking about or he doesn't know what HE's talking about. In either case think I might be better off ordering from another source who understands what I want.
Nothing against that seller. He sent me the correct rear tires, but the only way those same tires would work for the front is if I took a razor blade to them, in the same fashion that I sliced up that canned cranberry sauce yesterday.
DACSIGNS 11-26-2004, 02:25 PM Hey Cap'n
Check post #6 and post #9 again. Chris had pics of turquoise ones in a thread a couple months ago and they look identical to standard skinny tjets, ribs and all.
