View Full Version : Attn: Animated Fantastic Voyage fans!
Sonett 11-20-2004, 06:33 AM BrisFX in Australia is now offering a complete resin version of the animated Fantastic Voyage "Voyager" kit for $49.95 plus shipping.
I just received mine yesterday and was immediatly taken back in time to my old Aurora kit. Excellent casting of a true treasure! I thought the price was good compared to an original Aurora kit on ebay.
Here's a link with pictures of the kit parts and completed version.
Enjoy!

Paraclete1 11-20-2004, 11:41 PM I would have to say that this would be my Holy Grail of kits. I've been looking for one for the past 6 years. I've sent an e-mail asking about ordering. how long did it take to get yours? I can't believe I'm one step closer to it. Thanks for the site.

Sonett 11-21-2004, 04:37 PM My order for the Voyager took a little over a week to arrive. My total cost including shipping to Calif was $55.00. Pretty good considering this came from Australia!
Dave Hussey 11-21-2004, 07:08 PM Wow!!
So Sonet, I assume that you ordered online through their web site using a credit card. I'm asking because that is how I expect I would order one. Which I am very tempted to do!
That Spindrift replacement dome looks neat as well!

Sonett 11-21-2004, 09:13 PM Hi Dave,
I don't think BrisFX is set up for online ordering at this time. What I did after a few inquiry emails was to send a Pay Pal payment directly to Andrew's email account.
Regarding that Spindrift dome, I just discovered this yesterday and early fell out of my seat! I emailed Andrew, asking him for a total with shipping and he said he was still perfecting it and the final version should be available in January.

Dave Hussey 11-22-2004, 07:54 AM Thanks Phil!
I am not set up for Pay Pal but I expect they would acept a money order though. This looks really neat!!
I'm surprised there hasn't been a greater response to this model!!

swhite228 11-22-2004, 11:32 PM You don't need to be set up for paypal, all you need is an email address. The seller can send you a bill of sale which you can pay with a credit card, or as a bank money transfer. Paypal handles the currency conversion also.
Brisfx was started by the same guy who runs the Galactica Builders group over on Yahoo, and they also sell blueprints and castings of the hard to get parts for the studio scale Galactica.

PerfesserCoffee 11-23-2004, 10:34 AM Looks like a great kit!
john guard 11-24-2004, 04:25 PM Hey Sonett, i emailed the guy the other day! does it take a while for a reply???
Sonett 11-24-2004, 08:36 PM It took a few days for me at first. Joel Tavera tells me that Andrew and Brad (the owners of BrixFX) work full time and like most garage kit companies, BrixFX is a part time business.
Check out CultTVman's forum, Brad has recently been posting there and answering questions.
All I can say is don't give up hope, they came through on my delivery in a little over a weeks time!
starmanmm 12-03-2004, 05:17 PM FYI, got an email saying that my kit has been sent out. Will report back when they arrive.
Zathros 12-10-2004, 01:02 AM Does anyone know if it comes with the figures??? the pic shows the kit with NO figures...seems a shame to put this out , and omit the crew... I have a MINT built up with a mint box and instructions that I built straight out of the box, but Id love to have an extra..and this looks VERY well done..
Paraclete1 12-10-2004, 05:00 AM I got my kit yesterday. No Figures. But the kit itself looks pretty good. I just glanced at it quickly, plan to work on it this weekend.
I will say it's smaller than the one I remember having as a kid... it's almost like it shrunk or I grew. I just don't know which.:)

Funny, that was exactly what I was telling the little woman when I took it out of the box! I think that I was smaller and it looked bigger!

I used to have the 'Spot-On' Batmobile when I was a small child and was disappointed recently to learn it was only 6 inches or so when I just KNEW as a child that it was at least 12 inches long! :freak:
