There is a new rc carpet track in Angola IN. they have been open since Oct 24 and the place great. They race on sundays doors open at 9:00am race at 12:00pm. Ive been there practicing havent raced there yet and cant wait to race there.

What classes do they run? I am looking for some where to race this sunday

they are running 4-cell stock, gearbox stock, stadium truck stock, touring car, legends, touring spec., 1/18 , And what ever that show's.

How many folks are they getting in 4 Cell? How about directions from Indy?

there is about 4 of us running 4 cell so far, like they said they are just starting up. but directions take I69 to 20 then head into angola and its about 3 miles from I69, on the left side of the road there is a bar called wacky jacks. turn on the road right beside it. and it is the blue building behind wacky jacks bar. then the enterace is in the back of the building. The side door says slam'n sammy's.

Raced at Slammin Sammys on sunday had an awsome day. Sam and his wife and Jim Callihan put on a great show. I havent raced in 5 years and Jim coaxed me in to running 1/12 scale along with gearbox havent ran to classes since 1992 but didnt have any problems doin it again. (even tho my 4 cells for 1/12 scale are oolder than snot like 1400 scrs and 1700 scrc pack ha ha).



If you havent raced at slammin sammys the place is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup:

Well after a very long weekend of tuff racing in the first race of the Triple Crown series at Summit I must say Sammy will be proud of his Gamers Hobby cars as they both made the A-Main in 4 cell stock pancar. I myself finished 1st and Jason come in 7th. Now if we could only get them to pick-up hotel costs for the next race of the series we would be set!.....lol

Who's this I see with a new Gearbox car? Do I smell competition....(sniff,sniff..) Maybe I can talk Jason into getting his back out and come up this Sunday and have some fun with you guys. I know we both need it after this past weekends nerve racking event. :-()

not really compitition i already heard you ran 69 laps with your gear box and i know jasons is fast i havent raced in five years and just now getin back in to it slowly i miss runin 1/10 pan but not to sure about running 4 cell. i am used to running 6 cell pan. right now i only have one gp 3300 and one new 2400 pack havent evev ran them yet. the packs i ran on sunday were 2000s
and a 2400 i bought in 2001 that one only has 10 runs on it. and all those packs were dead shorted since 2001 there a little flat yet. im still kinda rusty to on my driving (ha ha). plus i dont think martin was real happy after the main on sunday in gearbox (being he is new to the sport) because i beat him and i only turned 57 laps the other guys only turned 52 and less. that is why i started running pan cars in 1992 up till 2001 i want to go fast with them.

hay am i chopped liver here i got 4th in the b main with a pit stop cause someone decided to punch my nose of the car in and it wouldnt turn !!!!!!!!!!!! I know i was off a few laps .....ok more like 3 laps butnot bad for a rookie ...HA HA HA..... I got a new idea for my car that might help ....I really need to get them tires from kris to help free the car up a little more .....but other than that i feel that the KGB Sniper car did ok .....I will get that car in victory lane here shortly ......kevin

i got a few things that you can do .....make sure all the arms on the car a super free...that means polish the pins with a drill or a dremel ....use some polishing compound (mothers).....tire size play a big part ......i will try to be there sunday guys ....i need the pratice

Oh dont worry bout the wheel it was oldddd Martin. I might even run the green gearbox instead but dont know. Been working on a computer power supply for my lathe and tire truer. well see every body at the track wont be there saturday but sunday if i race martin what time do you get there if its early we could cut the com on your motor and see if that doesnt help. im gona try 4 cell 1/10 when i get more batterys im doing like you did kris im still useing 2000s and two 2400s and one gp3300 and its a six cell when i raced last sunday there wernt any 4 cell pan 1/10 pans so i ran my olddddddd 4 cell packs in 1/12
and didnt do to bad i will keep my 6 cell packs for my inbred gearbox. ive got some 2000s im gona cycle and turn them in to 4 cells and see how it gos oh kris the fast guys at petes still run 6 cell pan laters

I think Jason would agree with me on this one......Yeah those dudes at Pete's are fast, but they really ain't all that because they race one another week in and week out.

Meanwhile in 4 cell, we (Jason, Brian, Chet & myself) race Jason Crist, Brent Lane, Jamie Hanson, Butch Beebe, Mark Recio, Frank Ulbrik, John Foister, Monti Panzika (sorry If I Botched the last name Monti), Jerri Moss, Dave Zipp, John Zuback.....and you know what...most of these cats I mentioned are SPONSORED BY MANUFACTURES in the industry......and when you can hang with those guys you can say your descent.....and when you beat those guys....YOUR SOMEBODY!!!!!! And you make a name for yourself......can't make a name for yourself racing a class that is old and outdated......Sorry to offend anyone.........

And Ray...you don't need to spend a lot of $$$$$$$$$ to field a competive car either........

I know of quite a few people who spent alot of money for just one race to make the show (A-Main), but I didn't and I made it......and that was very gratifying to me.....

kris i never spend alot of money on racing i know a guy who spent about 10 grand in about a year and half to go racing. heck my 1/12 scale car is the original fiberglass kit from 1992 or 1993. And my gear box tranmission is off of a jrx2. its all in the setup of the car anything can go fast if you set it up right. im not even running a new body on my pan car it has a 1996 grandprix body on it. and kris as far as fielding a competive car when i raced all the time after racing at petes and the checked flag race track 95 % of the time i was in the amain. And back then i bought a new 10l3 two new speed controlers and motors and a fantom dyno that i hardly use heck one of the newest file on it for a saved motor was dec1999. and i raced up until 2001 and quit cause the track in ft wayne that zack and his dad ran closed because nobody hardly raced there. And back then i was somebody cause i have raced with manufactered drivers before. kris remember petes is were i met you.

hey every body, we had a good day of racing at sammy's this weekend. The real Deel broke the track record in 4 cell pan again. It is set at 67 laps know. and in the main we had a real close, good driving in and out of the corner's.

And kris, sammy ain't sponsering any body. We put his stickers on our cars, so he can have his name out there so people will see that there is another hobby shop and track. I'm sure if you want to put his sticker on your car he will prob. get you some. Me and brain tried to hit him up for a sponser ship with joking with him and he said he could't do it.

Hey Kris did you figure in the co$t of the 2 or was it 3 brand new 4 Cell packs you broke out for the big show last Sunday? O'yea I do remember you buying atleast one new motor off the PDX trailer.....You were well over $100 bones for the weekend. Did I miss anything....lol

Depending on what level you want to run at, I am here to say 4 Cell Pan Car is very expensive. If your happy running 57 laps when the rest are running close to 60 then yes its not expensive.

4 cell stock is not as expensive as 19 turn or even mod, but yes it will cost.

people ask me how much does it cost to race r/c cars.............

i say how fast do you want to go will determin how much you spend.

motos, the motor i ran the best with at fort wayne and TQed with was only 63 on power but had 24,000 rpm's
so i didn't have the best motor but i had it geared right

For the link to the leading edge. But the only thing Im gona get are some batterys. Didnt want to start up a deal with the sport being to exspensive or not I know it can cost $$$$ to go fast to a point ya still gota know how to set one up. And I proved that last week at Sammys I ran with junk packs in 4 cell 1/12 and turned 60 laps and the fast guys turned 65 laps and when I do get good packs look out. Hey kris if there adittudes stink at petes and there to exspensive why do you endorse petes on your web site thats the kind of attitude that hurts our sport I never had a problem racing any where Ive heard all kinds of excuses why people wont racer at certain tracks Ive raced at and most of those tracks are closed now!!!!!!!! look at touring cars when i first started hanging out at sammys there where loads of them now there gone but a few. Guys buy whats hot or the latest fad and then it goes away then goes out and buys all new thats what makes this sport $$$$$ heck not even a month ago kris you where just about ready to hang it up and sell every thing cause you couldnt get the hang of 4 cell but you stayed think about that new guy or people just getting in the sport that bought a touring car or another car and cant run them cause there out what does that do for the sport
