I recently (oh, all right-- a year and 12 days ago!) ordered the Corgi Red Dwarf, Starbug, and Lister and Rimmer combination set from reddwarf.uk. I must admit as a Kentuckian I find it offensive when people use uk without meaning the University of Kentucky, but there it is.

After long since giving up and essentially forgetting about it I received an email saying simply "status: shipped" with no way to cancel the order. A bad way to handle it.

It arrived today and I like it so well I consider it worth the wait! The Red Dwarf is well made and detailed, ditto the Starbug, and I like the stands. The Lister and Rimmer plastic figures are well detailed. They actually put Rimmer in his textured blue outfit, undoubtedly the hardest one to sculpt they could have picked. He's saluting (of course!) and his shirt even rides up on that side.

Lister looks a little odd in the eyes because you can see white under his pupils, which gives him a popeyed look. Still, the detailing is there, even to his dreadlocks. He's too clean and needs some detailing done to his vest, though. Both figures have an excellent resemblance to the actor. I think they got Rimmer just a tad better, though.

Red Dwarf is the long version I don't like as much, but the inticate detailing and excellent paint job make up for it. Starbug is also excellent and has the "garage grimy" look it needs without being overdone.

All in all, a good set. If you're a fan, you'll like these!

They look really nice (as far as I can tell from the tiny pix!) is www.reddwarf.co.uk the only place that sells these?

That I know of, of course, I wasn't looking. AT, go ahead, you won't find anything better!

I would strongly suspect that Doll and Hobby will have them. www.doll-hobby.com/ (http://www.doll-hobby.com/)
