If you are using IE6 you can go under the File > Export menu item to save your favorites. To find them on your HD, just do a search on your C: drive for the file favorites. Your favories should be located in the folder.

Mozilla/Netscape = go to your bookmarks > manage bookmarks > and export to your diskette or whever your saving
IE is under C:\Documents and Settings\<Your username>\Favorites
copy that whole folder.

i presume you want to get the IE favorites you have on disk, into Mozilla Firefox that you have currently?
do this, copy those favorites back into your Favorites Folder, an then let Mozilla pick up the IE favories and merge them.
OR......after you stick all the favorites back into IE favorites folder...
from IE, go to file, export and export your favorites to a htm file
then go into firefox and import back ;)
here is a cut and paste for the mozilla site:
To export from IE:
Go to File menu > Import and Export..., then click Next.
Select Export Favorites, click Next, click Next again (unless you only want to export a subfolder of your Favorites, in which case, select that subfolder now).
Click Export to a File or Address, then click Browse and save the bookmarks onto your desktop. (Note: Any filename and location will work, as long as you remember where you saved it.)
Click Next, then Finish, and you're done.
To import them into Firefox:
Go to Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks (you might have to scroll up to find it, depending on the number of Bookmarks you have).
Once inside the Bookmark Manager, go to the File > Import > From File.
Browse to the file you saved your IE Favorites in, click Open. Then rearrange everything to your heart's content.
