I just picked mine up and found something odd, I have nothing that tells me what episode is on what disk. It looks like their is supposed to be a booklet or something as thier is a pocket on the inside cover, but nothing.... I even called Best Buy to find out if it is supposed to have one or not and they don't know and won't open another one to find out.

Anyone else get one and did it have a booklet or something to tell what episodes are on what disks?

I bought the set and found no insert either. I hope that this is another mistake on the part of Universal that they will offer to repair.

My set came with an insert booklet, but I haven't looked at it yet.

Mine came with this "fold out" booklet that is NOT very well done. It seems like they intended to make a actual book and was cut wrong so they just tossed it in anyways.

I went to that cast and crew 25th reunion at the Egyptian Theater last week and the guy from Universal told us that the DVD would have both the theater and pilot versions on it, but only the theater version is there. He also said the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman series are being worked out now.

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak! At least temporarily... I'm currently working on my third (that's right, you read correctly) set of Buck Rogers. First set, disc 5 side A had a gouge in it. Second set, disc one, side B had a gouge on it, caused by the perforations for the pocket (BTW- I got a guide booklet, as well as a catalog with the BSG miniseries DVD listed in it). Soooooooooooooooooooo, I went back to Suncoast, and the Manager and I swapped out discs trying to make one good set. (The third we opened up, disc 3 had cracks in it at the center.)

I also have a problem with the chintzy packaging. As we Modelers know, clear plastic is brittle, and DVD packaging is no exception to this. I broke on of the "PRESS" tabs getting a disc out. If you don't exert enough pressure, though, popping the disc out is a problem, and could lead to cracking the disc. I had this same problem last year with Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Epic Series.

And, would it hurt to put the televised pilot on the disc, and relegate the theatrical movie to a bonus? There's plenty or room on disc 5 side B. The televised pilot includes deleted scenes from the theatrical shoot, plus scenes filmed to tie in the movie to the series format. I guess I'll have to hold on the my Sci-Fi Channel tape of "Awakening."

AARGH!!

They're = contraction of "they are," as in "They're including a booklet."

Their = possessive form of "they," as in "That's their booklet, but this is mine."

There = a place, as in "over there!" or "There is supposed to be a booklet"

Grammar school-level spelling folks!!
(Sorry ross, it's a pet peeve of mine. Too many years on the net seeing bad spelling is getting to me) :)

While we're at it:

we're - a contraction for "we are"

...and some correct spelling:

separate - the correct way to spell "seperate"

remember - correct spelling for "remeber"

dimension - correct spelling for "dimention"

These are just a few. There are many others.

Maybe we should have a dedicated thread for correct spelling and grammar for internet users? :)

Is there enough disk space on all the servers in the world?

To - as in "I'm going to go to the movies."

Too - means "also" or "excessive" as in "Are you going to go to the movies too?" or "You've gone to the movies too many times this week."

Two - the number 2, and it don't mean anything else but. As in "The two of us are going to the movies, are you going to go too?"

And if I see anybody type "For all intensive purposes" one more time, I'm gonns crawl thru the screen and strangle 'em! :D

(in all fairness, "separate" is one I misspell all the time too.)

For all intensive purposes, I really think we should have a dedicated thread just for the modelers participating in these forums. :D

I could be titled (not entitled - yet another beef!) Proper Spelling and Grammar for Modelers.

Heck. Why stop with just a thread. Since The Hankster is busy dreaming up new forums, he could simply add this to the list.

Glad to have read this thread, bought my set last week in Vegas (it's the closest place with any real selection) and the first disc was cracked in the middle. And a bugger to remove. Took it back, got offered a refund, given the posts here I decided to accept. Never been offered a refund on opened DVD's before.
