A Taylor 11-14-2004, 12:53 PM Disney has a great paper model of the Nautilus available for free!
Click here (http://www.disneyexperience.com/halloween/html/20klus_model.htm) to download it.
BatFanMan 11-14-2004, 08:53 PM Cool! Thanks for the link! I'll mention this in the next issue of MR.
Capt. Krik 11-15-2004, 09:00 AM Great link, Anthony. I haven't built a lot of paper models but I think I'll give this one a shot. Hey, if I mess it up I can just print up another.
A Taylor 11-15-2004, 10:55 AM That's the beauty of paper models, Capt. Krik!
Eric K 11-15-2004, 11:57 AM Now *that's* cool! Thanks :)

Dave Hussey 11-18-2004, 12:47 PM I wonder if you could use this as a template for a model and build it from sheet plastic.............
huzz
A Taylor 11-19-2004, 10:45 AM Why? Better off just using blueprints for that.
Anyone got one of these together yet? Share some photos!
Chuck 11-23-2004, 04:14 PM Though it was going to be this one (http://www.nemonautilus.com/). Looks like a cool model but a little more expensive than the one on the Disney site.

Yea, but do you know how nice this model is? A friend of mine (Tom Grossman) recently purchased this kit and it is amazing. Besides, it's pre-printed on heavy card stock. BTW - he also sells two smaller (and slightly cheaper) versions of it in case you don't have room for a 3-foot model.
A Taylor 12-06-2004, 11:59 AM Looks like this page has been taken down - it must have been a temp page for Halloween.
Anyone get all the parts of the model and want to post a more permanent link?
The Batman 12-06-2004, 11:16 PM I hope somebody has it. I went to see if I could print it out yesterday and discovered that the page was gone!

Hello all, surfed in from google while searching for Nautilus model only to see a disscusion that included my model:

And for my completely unbiased oppinion ;). Actually the disney experience
model is real nice. So nice that if it were available when I developed my
version, I probably wouldn't of bothered. But history being what it is, I
developed mine 2 years prior, and as such, I took a very different approach
and I think ended with some differences that are quite dramatic. The first
thing, is mine it photo-realistic, the coloring is not cartoonish, but looks like
real patina-ed copper. Even up close. More importantly, the shark teeth,
all 36, are 3 dimensional in my model. This brings me to the big detail issue,
When completed, nobody ever realizes its made from paper. Even up close
and even poked, nobody realizes that its paper, until they pick it up and see
how light it is. Even then they realize something is up, but don't guess its
paper.
To me that's what separates it from the disney experience model. Well plus
the $50 I separated from your wallet :).
trying to be objective,
Jon

Wbnemo1 01-07-2005, 03:38 AM ARRGGGGG jon my eyes hurt lol you used the pic that shows you know what .................... sniffle
William
jleslie48 01-07-2005, 10:17 AM LOL!!! to date, you are still the only one to catch that mistake!!! for those of
you that didn't catch it, the entire salon housing is upside down!!! I just didn't
have the heart to take it apart and fix it. rest assured, I have never made
that mistake again.
Actually if you look carfully, there are a host of other mistakes, I'm not the
most carefull builder in the world, and the ramming spear has been damaged
so many times from banging the model around, I'm surprised it's still attached.
