i was going threw some of my customs and this one brought back some great memories.
me and dipstick belonged to this hw club at yahoo well. mini- motors put on a custom hw race racing on a hw trak down stair in his basement he had a few frends over to help him keep the race legal also. it was on live web cam with voice there were 13 racers running for pink slips. yep thats right if you lost. you lost your car!!
and here is the winning car that won all the cars. the race was ran in 2001http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL656/2703276/5700600/73107994.jpg
man i was so glad i didnt lose this car i put alot of work into it. no weights was used. i only won buy a fraction but a win is a win.
in 2002 mini motors sponcered another race which i placed 23rd and lost my entery. there were 25 cars in that race.
it's stuff like this that keeps customizers going and mark bomer - aka dipstick has gone way out of his way to help alot of us from www.mini-motorsonline to www.hotworldcustoms to running the custom contest at fest thanks mark for the fun and memories. hopfully ill see you at fest this year. later gunn

GREAT Story Gunn, and brought back some cool memories for me too!

Nice Custom also. The '67 Fastback and the '66 fastback are my two favorite
body styles that Ford ever produced.

Thanks!

mods were simple. lock down the hood. i had a red line mustang but the body was shot but the chassie and origanal tires were good so i swaped the chassies. made a cover for the passengers side then cromed the cover with crome tape leaving the driverside open and made a roll cage out of a paper clip which in turn stablized the body and added legal weight to the car. no oil was allowed or graffite or lead weights but as a custom racer this means that a paper clip roll cage was allowed thats about it. ive heard graffite will make them run faster but have never tryed it. always lock the hood down if it opens too you dont want it flying open while racing. later gunn
