View Full Version : Leftover Classic @ S&N Trackside
haysreeling 11-07-2004, 09:10 PM 1 qualifier will be run friday night Nov. 26th with the other 3 qualifiers and the mains being run on saturday. The track will be open all day for practice friday. In addition to Mod, 19T and stock, there are several drivers planning on running the Novak 4300 brushless. If you missed last years race you missed some great racing, hopefully it will be even better this year. See everyone the 26th.

Bob -- let's keep it at the 4300 brushless -- don't want to split up the class yet until we get more brushless going.
Team Paradyme 11-10-2004, 11:22 AM Is there going to be a SUPER 8 deal like in the past for us non-Wis people??
TeamGoodwrench 11-10-2004, 01:04 PM Is there going to be a SUPER 8 deal like in the past for us non-Wis people??
Not sure yet -- I need to book a room myself !
I've had a LOT of my customers asking me the same question -- they want to come in for this event, but don't have any information.
Would be nice to have a race flyer to send them... hint hint.... :)
jashack79 11-11-2004, 12:12 AM usually Scotty gets a deal though the Hampton Inn down the street. I would call Scotty to see if he has any thing lined up, but thats where most of us travelers stay
TeamGoodwrench 11-13-2004, 10:03 PM usually Scotty gets a deal though the Hampton Inn down the street. I would call Scotty to see if he has any thing lined up, but thats where most of us travelers stay
I got a room at the Fairfield Inn -- it was $49 I think.

jashack79 11-13-2004, 10:48 PM Friday there will be a regular club show seperate from saturday. Two seperate races but two days of racing. Should be an awesome time. 39 Cars today.

TeamGoodwrench 11-14-2004, 12:36 AM Bob ---
Did you guys run any brushless today ??
Thx.
Jeff.
Bob Wright 11-14-2004, 09:37 AM Yes and it was a blast.I ran 48-4:02 in qualifing and 48-4:01 in the main.I started with a rollout of 2.24 and ended up at 2.32 in the main.My car was tight for the fisrt 2 heats with a Bandit ST Taurus I changed to a PF Monte Carlo for the 3rd heat and went 1.5 laps faster on the same set-up.Next time I going to try to pull more gear.I think if your car is free enough you could possibly roll at 2.45 or so.Even when I was at 2.24 with my car being so tight I fell off really hard.3 pinks and a purple have been working great for tires for almost everyone. We may run brushless at the Triclone next Sunday ifthere are enough guys and we don't dilute the stock class too much.FYI.
TRACKSIDE 11-15-2004, 08:42 AM Hi Everyone. What a turnout on Saturday. The most oval racers on a weekly race day in many years. Mike Makus took the honors in 19 turn and Terry Warner was the winner in stock. We had our 1st run of Brushless. It worked out great. Bob Wright took the top spot. Info about the LEFT OVER CLASSIC. This race over the years has continued to grow and grow. We will be changing the schedual a little to allow more racers to participate. This year we have heard from many racers that say they have to work on Friday which would not allow them to run the left over if we run the schedual as we have in the past. So this year we are going to make some changes. On Friday Nov 26th doors open at 10am with practice untill 5pm, we will run a Friday night race program @ 5pm.Then on Saturday will be the offical Left Over Classic. Doors open at 7am racing will start @11am. Sounds like we will have racers from MI,IN,IL,IA & of course Many Cheeseheads. I hope everyone can join us, it is going to be another great race. Take care,Scotty
TRACKSIDE 11-15-2004, 08:46 AM Hotel info. The Hampton Inn is our host hotel. Mention Trackside and the rate is $58. Very nice hotel. Phone # is 414-466-8881. Only a couple of min from the track. All of us at Trackside are looking forward to a great race. Take care. Scotty
TeamGoodwrench 11-15-2004, 08:55 AM Hey Bob --
Thanks for the info !
I didn't realize the brushless motors would fall off like that. I figured they would be more consistent from the start to the end of the run.
Jeff.
I may now be able to make the saturday race since it's a one day race. Typically my wife has to work very late at the hospital on that friday so I'd miss the frist round. but now I am going to push to race saturday.

TeamGoodwrench 11-16-2004, 08:19 AM since when do they run 19 zero at trackside?? is this somthing new???
Burbs -- I wasn't there this past Sat., but I heard Scotty talked about running it.
I've been hoping there would be a chance to run it at Trackside -- looks like we'll get the chance at the Leftover.
The Iowa crew is huge into 19T zero -- it's a great class.
Barooose 11-16-2004, 02:33 PM I'm in. It would take an act of God, or my wife, to make me miss this race. And she already knows I'm going. This is one of those races that is on the schedule for next year as soon as the present race is over.
17driver 11-17-2004, 02:18 PM You can now download the leftover classic entry form at www.trackside.com

AWESOME -- glad to see the flyer is up.
It should be noted that there will be other classes run besides the 3 that are listed on the form -- like brushless, for example.
It's gonna be a great time. :-)

Which program are you using on the Novak brushless speedo (1 - 6) ??
